The Cubs were 1-1 against the Giants when I was in attendance last year.

The first game was when the Cubs won in 10 innings with a pair of unearned runs, one of which came on a suicide squeeze.

The second was when Matt Cain singlehandedly beat the Cubs, allowing only one run and hitting a 2-run shot off Z. One positive about this game was CubmanPi and myself got to see Woody pitch, which was amazing.

Hopefully this game against the Giants is like the former, not the latter.

How many of these games are you going to ?

With Aramis now out for this series, things could get pretty ugly.

Tell me about. We are looking at the brilliant "4 second basemen" lineup.

Just this one with the wife. stitchface asked me if I could go to another one but this was a bad week. We've/I've got little league baseball to cover (yes, you read that correctly) and I'm probably going to be training the guy who will be taking my position when I get moved up. I always have Monday's off so this was the only day that worked out. At least I get to go to one though.

I'd petition the league to change the series to a later date but somehow I think that request would fall on deaf ears. :D

We could push maximum density with 5

Even this forfeit lineup should be able to beat Zito:

RF Fukudome

SS Theriot

1B Lee

CF Edmonds

C Soto

3B DeRosa

RF Murton

2B Cedeno

P Lilly

Zito's a lefty so I don't know if Edmonds will play, but we need some power in the lineup.

I'm actually pretty confident that lineup can put up some runs on Zito.

Oh yeah, I miss Len and Bob too.

Hey, do you guys remember when the cubs used to win games and stuff? Yeah, that was pretty cool. Let's try that again.

Cedeno would be the guy at 3rd, Fontenot at 2nd. Ronny played some 3rd when Lou forfeited Thursday's blowout loss halfway through, so that lineup can be done.

I'll be pretty upset if Edmonds hit 4th against a lefty. We obviously need him in the lineup at this point, but 6th or 7th would be better.

Its amazing he didn't walk a single batter in those two outings last year. It is not a given that the Cubs drill him tonight.
