Pujols just left the game. He got about three steps out of the batter's box, then fell to the ground writhing in pain because of his calf. They had to carry him off the field...

Looks pretty bad.

HIs replacement will put up a 1.500 OPS this season.

What was up with Manny Acta and Elijah Dukes?

Dukes hit a double and then Milledge hits a go-ahead homer with 2 outs in the top of the 9th. In between innings, Acta goes over to Dukes and just starts yelling at him (looks like something about 2 outs). Dukes yells back and they get into a heated argument. The Nationals go on to win the game and Dukes hi-fives everybody except Acta.

4 hits, including 2 doubles and a homer (his 15th, more than any Cub besides Soriano), for the great Ryan Ludwick.

The Cards lose their 2 most valuable players in a week? Dont get me wrong, Im not celebrating anyones injury, but damn.

there is no value on Cardinal players. Someone will envitably feel their shoes and perhaps be better and the players suck if they leave for a different team

Except Eckstein, he's pretty much sucked the entire time

Except for, you know, the World Series.

He put up OBPs of .363, .350, .356 in three years in the leadoff spot for them. Obviously his value is diminished by his complete lack of power, but then again power in the leadoff spot isn't as important. Soriano would do well to be a little (just a little) more like David Eckstein in that no. 1 spot.
