Sweet! Man are they lucky. It's gotta be Rose. This might save Paxson's job.

So what can the Bulls get for Hinrich?

that was insane. As I watched the 9 not be the bulls I was ecstatic, and then then number 3 wasn't them either. #1 is unbelievable.

How do you know that if you are not number 9 you must be 3 or better?

1.9% chance. Amazing.

Only 1-3 are actually picked via lottery, 4-14 are then in order of record.

I'm not really an NBA guy (I live for college basketball), but I think the Bulls almost have to take Rose. I know there are Beasley supporters out there, but Rose gives you so much, especially at a position you currently NEED to fill.

So let's say the Bulls take Rose (which if they don't I will be pissed). Should they trade Hinrich and/or Gordon? I think definitely Gordon in a sign and trade and Hinrich. But the question is, who or what do you try and trade for? Thoughts? Opinions?

Beasley plays a position that the Bulls need to fill as well.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love either of them. This is an awesome position to be in. I still think Paxson is high on Hinrich though and that ultimately he's going to take Beasley.

Hinrich needs to be traded if you get Rose.

Holy crap, indeed. I just got back to my apartment and went to NBA.com. When I saw that the Bulls won the lottery, I spit up the apple I was eating.

Wow.

Derrick Rose might as well start house shopping in chicago

If Pax does not take Rose he ought to be fired. Beasley is basically Derrick Coleman's lil' brother, and is the antithesis of everything Pax claims to value in a player.

Show some nuggets, Pax: take Rose and trade Gordon or Hinrich.

I think you have to draft Rose and trade Hinrich. For what I havent thought too much about, but this isnt really a situation I really expected.

Hughes will still be around next year, correct? Rotating Rose, Gordon and Hughes at the two guard spots, with Deng at the 3, and Thomas/Noah at 4/5 is disgustingly athletic and you give yourself a chance to build a Chris Paul/Tyson Chandler like 1-2 punch with Rose and Thomas.

I agree 100%. And perhaps you can get a decent PF or C for Hinrich?

Also, don't forget about Gooden. He could be a valuable as a starter at PF or off the bench, though he may also be trade bait. They really have a log jam at the PF spot.

I guess the point is that Rose could make everyone on that team much better.

EDIT: Who might be able to use Hinrich? What could we get back from that team?

Noah isn't nearly as athletic as Chandler. Thomas is athletic, but he has no offensive talent other than dunking. Paxson should have taken Aldridge. Hughes is signed through next year also.

Just say no to Beasley.

Thomas and Chandler are basically mirror images of each other.
