Oh darn, you mean I don't get to watch him K 3 times today?

Nope. Instead you get to watch Reed Johnson put the lightly put the ball in play over and over again... maybe going 1-4 (a single, of course, as Johnson has no power) in the process.

Tidbit from the DBacks blog:

Good win yesterday, and today, we get to face Ted Lilly. We love Ted Lilly. Every time we face Ted Lilly, it brings back memories of Game Two in last year's NLCS where Ted Lilly gave up a three-run jack to Chris Young and Ted Lilly threw a temper tantrum on the mound, hurling Ted Lilly's glove to the dirt like a petulant Little Leaguer. 3.1 innings pitched, six earned runs, on seven hits and four walks. Let's just remind Ted Lilly of that moment, how much the Arizona Diamondbacks enjoyed facing Ted Lilly.

I've ripped on Pie a bit this year, but geez. He only has two 3 K games in his entire career.

So, I'm guessing the ivy makes its first real appearance in today's game.

I hope so. Everything bloomed around here in the last week.

Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, says summer like a lush green outfield wall during an afternoon game at Wrigley Field.

I'd like to take 5 of the next 7, then sweep the Pirates again at the end of the homestand.

I very much doubt we'll win this series and take 3 of 4 from the Padres, but a guy can dream, can't he?

if the cubs win 8 of the next 10, i think they'll be in first place by 2 games....big IF though.

note to lilly: DO NOT THROW CHRIS YOUNG A FASTBALL, EVER!

He, along with Rich Hill, should have known that prior to the NLDS last year.

Ugh. Let's not talk about that. Nothing like being in CF bleachers and seeing Rich give up the leadoff homer to Young. :wall:

No, but you do get to watch Reed continue to suck it up hardcore against another lefty.

I'm sure this is just a typo, but as has been stated before, Haren really is a righty. So, I'm assuming you meant that he'd suck it up hardcore against another righty.

That's what I love about the Cubs more than any other team: They never learn. Ever. That's why they keep giving Young 1st pitch fastballs, and they kept pitching to Pudge in the NLCS.
