I'm so excited (miserable)!

Also, I turn 21 on the 9th so please don't give me more reason to drink my way to oblivion, Cobs.

Slight correction - this game is tomorrow, the 9th.

I thoroughly endorse a Southpaw spot start - he led the 7-game win streak last year. Maybe he can counteract the Haren mojo.

Last time I wore my Cubs jersey was 4/21 the day the Cubs beat the Mets. They went on to win the next 2 before this recent sucky streak. The jersey is back tomorrow. So is good baseball.

Doesn't that violate the time-space continuum?

Jon Lieber just gave up a home run to Chris Young.

The ironic thing about the John Lieber game up a home run to _____________ is that giving up the homers to Bako and Hairston is more pathetic than any of them.

What exactly about that is Ironic?

The fact that the majority of the mentioned names are more likely to hit home runs than Babe Bako and Hank Hairston.

boy am i glad we're not facing webb this series, he's totally shutting down the phillies today. i wonder how many people realize he's one of the two or three best starting pitchers on the planet.

I do. The only 3 pitchers that I guarantee a loss for my team are Webb, Peavy and Santana. Well now Volquez. I still can't believe we beat Webb last year and played him close in the playoffs (although we only got 1 run on him).
