Please beat this team. Already voiced my opinion about them and their ability to be outscored and still have a few guys that just happen to be players that the Cubs can never seem to solve.

We have the highest run differential this year out of all teams.

I meant last year. That just annoyed me for some reason.

Cubs out scored them 19-18 yet, managed to lose 4 of 6...

Can't believe it hasn't been posted. Heard the lineup on ESPN1000 on my drive in to work.

LF - Soriano

SS - Theriot

1B - Lee

3B - Ramirez

RF - Fukudome

C - Soto

2B - DeRosa

CF - Johnson

P - Lilly

Well, not that it means much, but it's nice to see Soto has finally moved up a little higher. Anything that gets him more PAs is a good thing.

grrrrrrrr no cedeno or pie

No point in getting upset at Pie sitting against a lefty.

Lilly's pitching for us not them.

Well, Fukudome's back home where he loves to hit, so hopefully his slump should be ending.

His severe road/home splits are a little worrisome.

Why do I think Soriano and Soto should trade spots in the lineup? Or something like below would be better than what's goin today?

Theriot

Soto

Lee

ARam

Fukudome

Soriano

Derosa

Johnson/Pie

I never really understood why some guys have drastic home/road splits.

I'd swap Soto and Fukudome and leave the rest how it is.

Pretty much what I would do. None of it makes a whole lot of difference though, presuming the right guys are actually in the lineup in the first place............

Oh darn, you mean I don't get to watch him K 3 times today?

No, but you do get to watch Reed continue to suck it up hardcore against another lefty.

It's easier to hit when everyone is chanting your last name every time you come up to hit?

I wouldn't think it has that much to do with it.

Did he have such splits in Japan?

So, I'm guessing the ivy makes its first real appearance in today's game.

I hope so. Everything bloomed around here in the last week.

Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, says summer like a lush green outfield wall during an afternoon game at Wrigley Field.

I'd like to take 5 of the next 7, then sweep the Pirates again at the end of the homestand.

I very much doubt we'll win this series and take 3 of 4 from the Padres, but a guy can dream, can't he?
