There is no reason Gallagher and/or Marshall should not be in the rotation with crap like this taking up space.

It didn't stop the D'Backs from DFA'ing Russ Ortiza couple of yrs back, even tho the organization was in turrible debt. So, the Cubs not removing Marquis from the rotation, or simply not being relased, isn't a product of them being "cheap", it's about ego. Hendry wants to prove people wrong that he can sign quality talent, But the problem there is.....if Dave Duncan/TLA and Mazzone/Cox both gave up on the pitcher, what makes Hendry believes he can catch lightning in the bottle.

 

Everybody knows that what is best for the org, is to DFA him now, cut your losses, and replace Marquis with Gallagher, Hill, or Marshall. But seeing as Hendry and Piniella have to much pride to acknowledge the mistake that is Jason Marquis, we won't see Marquis leave Chicago, till after 2009.
