I'm not watching the game since I'm at work (heh heh), but I get the sense from the gameday switches, etc., that Lou really, really, really wants to win this game.

I think the 100 years thing is on Lou's mind. He seems to be over managing a lot this year. Oh well, as long as we win and it doesn't cost us in terms of stamina at the end of the season.

wow, they didn't even give the hockey dudes personalized jerseys and they gave the one guy an away jersey.

All of the posh giveaways went to the riveting Misty May.

Was that Chris Duhon at the end of the fan cam?

I was going to post that, but I wasn't sure about it. Might just have been a similar looking guy... he's been at Cubs games before though.

I was going to post it too, but I figured that if it wasn't him, I'd open myself up for all sorts of "oh, so all black people look alike?" jokes.

Does Marmol go more than one inning?

I'm guessing so, Lou doesn't trust anyone else for the 8th, and he was double switched to the last out of last inning.

With Marmol's stuff today, why even double switch?

Wow, snazzy Blackhawks jerseys for Len and Bob. Those look good.

I wish I could afford one. It's all I need to complete my favorite team jersey collection.

Talking about the heart of their order not being very good.

Taunting them about us winning a lot of games this year.

It's like you people haven't been paying attention the last 100 years.

I am just messing with him, I would say most on this board are pretty good about seeing the huge flaws on our own team.

It ain't about seeing the flaws.

It's about temping the fates!!! Those terrible little harpies lurking around in the shadows that come to life at the first sound of Cubs fans taunting any other team.

I don't believe in that crap. I had a whole freaking year of Kansas fans teasing and prodding at me about how bad my team is and how great they are and they win a national title. I don't buy into that crap at all anymore.

You know, Cubs fans have tried not to tempt fate for years and look how that turned out. Maybe the key is to tempt fate.

Clearly the last 100 years have been punishment for too many fate tempting Cubs fans slipping through. I think the resolution is clear - exterminate cocky Cubs fans. Cardinal fans can be dbags all day long and only be rewarded for it. We are forced to play by a different set of rules. I alone am responsible for 2003 for getting my first feeling of confidence for the season 2 innings prior to to the meltdown. :blackeye:

Is he wearing earrings or does he just have really shiny lobes?
