So I am making my first trip to Wrigley Field for Opening Day. My brothers and I (Four of us) will be in minimal Brewer gear (hat maybe a shirt depending on the weather) so we will be visable Brewer fans in enemy territory. None of us are vocal idiots that run our mouths but we will visably cheer when, and if, something good happens for the Crew. Anyway, what kind of danger are we in...

1) None at all

2) Booed

3) Get Stuff Thrown At Us

4) Physically Threatened

I have seen some pretty dumb things at Miller Park from both sides during these games and I would hate to distract from the game for my own personal amusement.

As long as you aren't too vocal and don't rub it in when (if...heh) the brewers score you'll be fine. Expect to be Booed a little when you cheer (ESPECIALLY if you're in the bleachers) - but really nothing more than is to be expected of visiting enemy territory.

There are morons in every crowd, however. If you get things thrown at you or are physically threatened - Crowd Management will be on it in no-time. We have eyes all over the darn place. You should be fine though.

I have never seen the Brewers at any place other than Miller Park (and County Stadium) and I really did want to visit Wrigley one day just to say I did so this worked out well. I expect the boos, I just really don't want it to be a big deal and I am sure there will be more than a handful of Brewer fans there.

Last year at a game I was at there were a pair of humongous drunk twins (i think) wearing brett favre jerseys that were about the most annoying brewers fans I have ever seen. Don't be like them.

It probably won't be a big deal. I was seated behind some Astros fans at the home opener last year and they really didn't get too much flack. Fully expect to catch a few more boos if you're in the bleachers though.

Damn the fatties for giving us a bad name!

The fatties? You mean the Milwaukee Metropolitan Area? (soon to be part of the Chicago Metropolitan Area)

I can't speak for others, but I'll be drunk as hell in the bleachers taunting you for your team's horrible defense and fat city/state. I will also be throwing some Brett Favre jabs in there.

See you at the game!

Says the guy with a Northwestern logo staring at me, I gotta run Wisconsin is playing their Sweet 16 game right now.

Hey now, us defenseless Northwesterners don't deserve your ridicule. Besides, our basketball may not be great, but our, um ... well, our debate team is badass. So there.

You'll be fine. More and more Brewers fans show up at Wrigley every year and its not a big deal. Just don't be a jerk if the Brewers win, and if a Cubs fan instigates you, play it cool. Remember that you are technically in enemy territory.

And now NU and UW both have nothing to look forward to.

Except baseball :)

If you do as you say your going to do I don't see any problems. Went to a Cards/Cubs game last year and outside of your typical back and forth digs I didn't see anything to bad. I sat in the bleachers.

If you're lucky, you'll have a quick and painless death.

If you're unlucky, somebody will put a Michael Barrett jersey on you and lock you in a room with Carlos Zambrano.
