I have heard White Sox fans mention him in the same category as Ramirez. It's amazing how much of his value is based off of 12 games in October.

I'd venture to guess that most White Sox fans think Crede is better when he's healthy.

I'd venture that those people are all idiots. Crede has no business being compared to Ramirez, ever.

What's even funnier is that Crede gets props for GRIT, but Ramirez plays hurt most of every season and gets ragged on for being soft. If only he could grow a mullet...

hispanic guys don't have grit

The Chicago Sun Times reports that "the list of suitors to acquire Joe Crede this spring has all but dried up."

Crede looks likely to begin the season as the White Sox's starter at third base, with Josh Fields seemingly headed back to Triple-A. If Crede can show that he's healthy following back surgery, the White Sox should be able to move him to clear room for Fields at some point.

Josh Fields is being blocked by a player vastly inferior to him.

eh

eh what? It's true.

Well, Crede certainly is having a horrible year. Fields, the far superior player, would be doing much better. I stand corrected.

You can't honestly think he'll keep this up, do you?

You love it.

Seriously though, it's too bad you aren't the Sox GM.

But I don't think we need to exchange insults when discussing something as trivial as the stupid old White Sox.

If the sox don't use the hot start to trade crede they are da dumb.

IMO there is about a 0.001% chance of Crede coming close to maintaining his current level of play.

This is the very definition of "time to sell high".

Sure about that? His BABIP is actually lower than his average this season, which means he's getting unlucky.

I would be willing to bet my life that Joe won't end the season with an 1.100 OPS, Babip be damned.

There's yet another "Joe Crede is the best, Error Miss Ramirez is an unclutch future DH" thread over at WSI.

He's also got a 5.6 LD%, so his BABIP is actually about 60 points better than expected, and this from a guy who has underperformed his expected BABIP his entire career(nearly 1800 PA's).

Earlier on tonights Sox broadcast Hawk and DJ agreed that last season's Sox' lack of hitting was the craziest thing they'd ever seen, and that this year's Tigers may end up like the Sox last year in that they just might "spend the whole year in a slump"

That's a tremendously low LD%. It means his flyballs and groundballs are falling and finding holes.
