the seahawks' best TE is marcus pollard, who needless to say is not a TE of the future. i'd say we go with Fred Davis, TE, USC with this pick.

I agree completely. Hasselbeck needs more weapons anyway and Davis is a solid receiving tight end.

So, the Seahawks select Fred Davis and now Flames is on the clock.

I'll PM him.

I really wanted to get either Jackson or Davis with this pick, but that's off the board. Packers could go in a lot of different directions here.

That being said, the Packers select Martellus Bennett, TE out of Texas A&M. With the release of Bubba Franks, the Packers need a backup TE to compliment Donald Lee. Bennett should be able to do a good job of that.

The Dolphins have a lot of options with this pick. They can go value, as there are some first round graded players who have slipped all the way to the bottom of the 2nd. Felix Jones looms as a value pick. Another Hog, Marcus Harrison, could fulfill a need on the defensive line. DB is also a need, and there are some quality options remaining at this position. In the end, the need for secondary help prompts the Dolphins to select Patrick Lee, CB, Auburn with their second pick in the second round. Lee provides excellent size and speed, but more importantly upside. A late bloomer, he'll have time to grow to his large potential over the Dolphins' rebuilding years.

Since I'm pretty sure Jacksonville is not going to pick a RB (and I won't be able to check this at work tomorrow), I'll go ahead and with the Colts pick select:

Felix Jones

If Jones were somehow selected with the next pick, I'll do what the Colts would normally do, bypass the next 3 or 4 backs, and go with:

Matt Forte

For Exile's sake (I haven't seen him lately, so I'm not even sure he's reading). I considered several positions for the team. I didn't see a pass rusher that the Colts would want. Corner is a need but not a huge one. Offensive guard is a need, but my guess is that they'll wait until later in the draft. The Colts really could use a backup RB who could catch the ball out of the backfield and spell Addai well. That's Jones.

Even though I picked out of turn, please let the Jaguars have their time. Thank you.

You coulda just PMed me, CCP. It's not like there's actually a moment I'm not on the board. ;)

(Not that this is a problem, I don't think.)

For the Jags, I'm not sold on Sensabaugh as the long term answer and there aren't any glaring positions of need with Groves being selected previously to address the pass rush. Curtis Lofton and Trevor Laws could have gone here, but they'll go in a different direction. With the 58th pick, the Jacksonville Jaguars select:

Tyrell Johnson, S, Arkansas St.

Packers select John David Booty, QB out of USC, with the 60th overall pick.

I could have went with an offensive lineman here or perhaps even Kevin Smith, but Booty was too good to pass up.

sorry for the delay again everyone. I guess I am too slow to particpate effectively. I probably would have taken Bennet instead of Davis but the position was correct!

The Cowboys entered the draft with three key needs. Having addressed WR and CB with the picks in the first round, the Cowboys look at RB. Marion Barber III is a punishing runner, but he needs a complement. With Felix Jones off the board, the Cowboys select Jamaal Charles, RB UT.

According to his profile, gocubsgo hasn't visited the site since last Friday. Are we going to maintain the 12-hour waiting period? If so, the pick will be made later tonight, while I won't be around, and my 12-hours will be up before I will be checking back tomorrow morning? If we cut the 12-hour limit short, I can come up with somebody for the Giants this afternoon, and we can start a 3rd round before Friday.

I say we're into speed round territory. Let's give everyone a couple of hours and then move along.

I'm ok with this.

OK, just don't rush me on the Giants pick this afternoon, I've got stuff going on and haven't even gone through who is still available. The Pats have had about 3 hours now.

Six hours to each of the two second round picks left then?

Does that work for you?

Planning ahead for the Pats pick, I'm pretty sure they need secondary help, especially CB. Are the CBs left on the board a reach? Maybe Charles Godfrey from Iowa or Tracy Porter from IU.

Don't need that much time. 4 hours would mean this pick is done by consensus within the hour, giving me until 4:30 eastern time this afternoon to make my last pick.

Too bad GoCubsGo isn't around, though.

Porter is probably the top corner left at this point.

The Pats could also use young help at LB, perhaps Erin Henderson or Shawn Crable?
