What did the 49ers get in return for that 1st round pick? They must have gotten raped. They're gonna finish in the cellar, and they'll have no top 5 pick to show for it. Wow.

And there are the Pats, perfect record and possibly the 2nd overall pick in the draft.

Just wow. Wowzilla.

Joe Staley's wikipedia page says you're right.

Amazing. Not that Staley won't ever be anything, but it's just incredible how the Pats continue to manage things. I hate them, but must acknowledge how well they run their ship.

i picked every game right this week... first time in 4 years that i was able to do that

i went 12 for 16, second best to 13 for 16 a few weeks back. i'm bad at this

Carolina might start Matt Moore Sunday against Seattle. Why the hell not? He'd be the 4th different starting QB for the team this year.

What a mess.

Look at it positively, Andy. At least you're not Miami.

No, Miami gets to draft Darren McFadden. We're going to pick somebody like Overrated Big Ten Defensive Back (Gamble), Talented Running Back We'll Never Use Enough (DeAngelo), Half-Decent Left Tackle (Gross), or Chronically Injured Linebacker (Morgan).

You might be able to tell my antipathy for the Panthers is reaching new heights.

There weren't that many expected good games. The only four that I wasn't certain on were SD/Ten, Sea/Ari, NYG/Phil, and NE/Pit. I got all of these right. Granted, I missed TB/Hou, but this was an easy week. Even still, congrats.

Miami isn't drafting McFadden.

True. Even if it made sense to do that, they wouldn't, they'd rather draft kick returners and then pick 25-year-old Mormons at the position they should've drafted for.

It doesn't make sense to do it because Ronnie Brown was showing signs of why he was the #2 pick in 2005 before he got hurt.

They have many more needs than RB.

I nailed every game but TB-Houston, too.

against the spread?

oh hell no... considering that you're supposed to have a 50% chance of picking a game right against the spread, the chances of picking every game of a full NFL slate correctly ATS is about 1 in 65,000.

Most favorites won this week, and I was also able to pick the upsets that did happen (Giants over Eagles, Houston over Tampa) and the pick 'em game (SD over Tenn). When picking NFL games it's tough to go perfect because there's a lot of parity in the league, and the difference between the good and bad teams is not nearly as large as it is in I-A college football.

The parity that has created a 13-0, 12-1, two 11-2, four 3-10 and an 0-13 team this year?

okay USUALLY there is a lot of parity in the nfl. and there's also a lot more up and down because of the salary cap - few teams are either consistently very good or consistently terrible.
