How the hell did these guys lose to Pittsburgh? I know Pat White was hurt but come on, there's no reason they should have lost that game.

I think it is a loss that goes 100% on the coaches head. I do wonder if they won if R.R accepts the Michigan job.

Michigan Band, Notre Dame Band.....

 

usc band never shuts up either, but at least they know two songs - one for offense, one for defense. Plus I think the songs themselves are somewhat enjoyable - though I could see someone from UCLA disagreeing. I dont think the michigan or notre dame bands are that bad.

 

As far as bands who don't shut up - I'd say Florida St, Ohio St and Oklahoma are the worst. I think Ohio St knows a couple of songs, but F$U and OU are the worst because they just play the same thing over and over.

These Fox announcers are embarassing. It sounds a little like Matt Vasgersian, and if that is the case, my hatred for this booth is more justified. He's awful at everything.

 

Brent Musberger and Kirk Herbstreit are the benchmark for announcers today.

 

Brad Nessler is also really good.

 

And I know he was becoming a caricature of himself, but hearing Keith Jackson do the Rose Bowl in his final years still sends chills down my spine. His calming voice just oozed "big game."

 

I like Nessler, but Musberger is terrible. I don't know why or how he's still on ABC's 'A' team. Herbstreit should really be with Nessler because I think that would be a great booth. Nessler is stuck with two buffoons in Griese and Maguire. Just put those idiots with Musberger and make that your new west-coast team instead of having Dan Fouts as your west-coast play-by-play man.

 

Fox could easily be doing a better job with the BCS, but I don't really care for ABC's coverage either.

People said Mizzou would kill USC? I know for a fact we wouldn't even beat USC, but we would've done better than that.

 

USC is better than OK, and we all know how well Mizzou fared against OK.

Well, mine is. What the hell was that Oklahoma? I do, however, think OU was extremely jekyll and hyde this year. At times they looked great, and other times they looked like pure garbage. I guess that's the way things go sometimes, though.

No kidding, I had someone at work trying to argue that Illinois and Hawaii would be a fair matchup. Illinois' lines would dominate that game (certainly not to the level Georgia's did).
