Man, I really don't like the trade from Dallas' perspective. That's a steep price. The Lakers didn't pay anywhere close to that for Gasol.

Maybe that is because Jerry West gave his old team a nice big gift. The league should have vetoed that trade.

 

I'm not sure if this changes anything about your comment, but Jerry West isn't the GM at Memphis anymore.

Well the trade still sucks. But, yeah I guess West didn't do it then.

Hinrich is overrated by his fans and underrated by his detractors. He is an above average NBA player.

I'm not sure if anybody really cares about this but it's not really surprising as there has been speculation about this for a while out here. It wouldn't surprise me if Ron Artest got dealt before the trade deadline as well.

The Lakers actually gave up quite a bit for Gasol...just nothing that makes any difference whatsoever in the immediate future.

I assume you mean Roy. And yes, if we can't get any of the freshman phenoms (which is unlikely anyway), I really hope we can find a way to get Hibbert.
