The best one loss team in AMerica drilled Vandy by 20 tonight.

Tennessee 80

Vandy 60

Lofton still hasn't gotten untracked, but if he does, watch out.

I assume you're referring to IU. That was some kind of ugly. How many turnovers did they end up with?

Oh yeah, you guys are in the same league as UCLA or Tennessee.

Rose isn't the best player in the country this season.

I beg to differ.

Michael Beasley says hello

Even if Beasley was better than Rose, which I don't think he is, I don't think his team is good enough tat it will impact the tournament at all like Rose will.

I sincerely hope you're joking. Indiana wouldn't stay within 15 of either Tennessee or UCLA.

You may be right, but that is a game I would love to see.

No doubt that UNC, Kansas, Memphis, UCLA, and UT are the top 5 in the country right now. I simply cannot wait until Feb. 23, when UT and Memphis play.

I believe UNC could end up playing their first four tourney games in North Carolina.
Very likely. Raleigh is a 1st/2nd round location (I have a ticket) and Charlotte is a regional site.

For those who missed it, here's the last minute of the Kentucky-Vandy game on youtube. Only about the first minute is worth watching and at the 53 second mark Gus does his "ha ha HA!!". Outstanding.

I was obviously joking. If you're too lazy to look back 1 page, I listed UCLA as one of the teams clearly better than IU. I also called them for national champs at the beginning of this thread.

That being said, no way Tennessee or UCLA beats IU easily. Tennessee beat a good Vandy team, but they were at home. IU won on the road, despite 26 turnovers and Gordon playing 9 first half minutes, and 20 crappy 2nd half minutes. Apparantly Bassett re-injured himself in the 2nd half too. Not making excuses, but IU clearly played their worse game of the season and still won a road game against a team that had won all of its home games and 12 of 15 games to that point.

IU matches up well enough vs. UCLA. UCLA isn't a team that's gonna blow good opponents away because of their style of play. IU can run and score with UT and rebound much better.

Ugh. Hadn't heard that. That game was awful enough, they don't need injuries to make it worse. They're clearly better off with him running the point. Crawford is really talented, but he had all kinds of trouble with that pressure.

Two dissapointing offensive games in a row. I don't necessarily expect a Sampson team to have an great offense, but they need to improve. I still think White isn't getting the ball enough.

Anyway, I expected a loss last night so even a really ugly win like that is nice. I think they'll improve from having played a few tough games this last week.

I would have thought the game against us was your worst of the year. That is two subpar efforts in a row.

They have struggled but I like it when a team isn't playing their best and still find a way to win.

And on the best team, imo it's Memphis.

Even though Indiana won, it has to be a cause for concern with how horrible they looked last night. Neither team deserved to win that game. How can you possible find anything positive, other than the win, from that game if you are Indiana? 26 turnovers, and wild passes and shots left and right.

I am betting some teams in the world, ie not the Big Ten, make their free throws though and then IU drops both of those games.

IU needs to learn to protect the ball and not make so many dumb mistakes. If they don't turn the ball over 26 times, this game probably isn't close. While I like Crawford, he drives me nuts sometimes with terrible decisions. He is a freshman, so that's somewhat to be expected.

Likewise, 12-23 free throw shooting? That's awful. Tollackson was 0-7 from the line. 0-7!! I'd never let him get a shot off in a close game. Tubby needs to have them practice at the line. A lot.

Yeah, I am worried about the 2 bad games in a row. But this is the time to start putting together some good games. Figured the conference would be tougher, but it seems like only DJ is fired up. Got potential 15-point wins with Penn St. and Iowa coming to Bloomington before the game at Madison. I also like that by the Iowa game, it will be their 3rd in a 7 day span. This current IU team needs more gametime together. What they are doing in practice obviously isn't working, they gotta get used to playing together against tough defense.
