KU vs So Cal tomorrow. With Rush still slow, I wonder who will "guard" Mayo.

Will be fun to watch. Go KU!

And then UCLA vs #8 Texas at Pauley in the evening. That should be fun, Texas looked real good against Tennessee. I wonder if Collison will start - and if he does, if Westbrook goes to the 2 or the bench (I'm hoping Westy remains in the starting lineup).

Good half, I think because I can't see it. Shooting well, but need to get on the defensive glass a little better. Gotta like the Hoosiers chances, being that they have 34 points and SIU has allowed about 56ppg the last 2 years.

Big time win. Had a good feeling about this game. IU really shutdown the SIU 2nd chances in the 2nd half. SIU was 1-14 shooting the 3 in their own building. 8-15 from the line. IU played great defense all night holding SIU to less than 38% shooting, thanks in part to 9 blocked shots.

That was terrible. The first 16 minutes of the game was probably some of the most fun I've ever had at a sporting event. Too bad the final 24 minutes were garbage.

We can't shoot. I didn't think we'd miss Tatum and Young this much, but we do. Matt Shaw can't go 1/7 from 3 point range in every game. He has the last two games. We just got beat by the better team tonight.

With no Collins and a gimpy Rush, I'm not sure if I like our chances.

Ball State is 0-6 for the first time in 84 years after losing to Valparaiso. Teams are shooting like 47 percent against us from 3 this year, it's driving me insane.

Good win for IU. Not sure why so many were predicting doom in this game; IU matches up very well with SIU. SIU doesn't have the team to take advantage of IU's weaknesses -- whereas Xavier does. That doesn't mean SIU isn't good. This IU team still has a long way to go, but I think they're improving. They also get Jordan Crawford back Saturday and A.J. Ratliff back the following Saturday. IU should enter the Big Ten at 11-1, due in large part to a weaker schedule (UConn is in February) -- outside of Kentucky they play four more cupcakes at home. Yippee.

Yeah, UK is the final pre-Big 10 challenge. UK is down, but never count any team out in a rivalry game. It will be nice to see it played in Bloomington for the first time in many years.

We're decent, but I expected a closer game. Just seems like these real athletic teams give us trouble. Once we get to conference play, it'll be smooth sailing for us. I hope.

Haha, you should have heard the USC play-by-play guy when Chalmers hit that 3 from about 30 feet out. He went from being excited that that was the only shot KU could get to the brink of tears when it went in. It was awesome.

I didn't mean to imply I expected a 13-point win for IU. Southern Illinois is a good team that will fair very well in conference. Nationally, I don't think they'll be quite as competitive as they have been -- though I believe the Mississippi State win will end up a solid victory. SIU doesn't have as much offensive firepower and isn't as athletic as they have been in the past. While their defense is still very good, IU's athletic guards were problematic -- coupled with a player no one in college can really handle. Finally, SIU isn't big or athletic enough to expose IU's weak underbelly inside.

Ratliff was only ineligible for 8 games, meaning he's back for the Kentucky game also.

He is ineligible for the first semester. First semester ends December 14. He won't play until December 15 against Western Carolina.

Based on Sampson’s eight-game time frame, Ratliff would able to return for the Dec. 8 game against Kentucky in Assembly Hall, assuming he had regained his eligibility during the upcoming semester. The final day of first semester classes is Dec. 8, although final exams don’t conclude until Dec. 15

That's not what everyone else has reported. I hope I'm wrong, but:

Hmm. Everything I have read has said he would be out 8 games. I've never read otherwise til now. But technically, isn't the first semester over when classes are over? Finals week is just that, there are no classes.
