Cubs.com[/url]"]Fans who purchased Cubs postseason tickets online or by telephone through tickets.com can obtain a refund by sending their tickets to the Cubs at 1060 West Addison, Chicago, IL 60613-4397. Season ticket holders will receive an automatic refund. All fans holding Cubs postseason tickets should refer to the back of the tickets for complete information.

This makes absolutely no sense.

What about if we chose Print at home tickets?

You have to mail your printer back to them.

That's great. Anybody got a serious answer? I'm sure I'm not the only one in the same boat.

I just called tickets.com and they said that while it says what it says on the Cubs website, they haven't heard official confirmation from the Cubs as to how they are going to refund the 'print at home' tickets. They said sometimes, teams will just refund the credit card. They told me to call back Monday or Tuesday if we don't hear any offical pronoucement

I really wish I didn't choose FedEx delivery for the NLCS. Seriously, the Cubs should just refund all the money anyone put into the playoffs. That includes game 3, all the playoff merchandise, all the beer people drank to drown their sorrows. Everything. We deserve our money back. Instead, we have to go through a lot of hassle to get a portion of the money we spent on unplayed games.

I got my NLCS tickets this afternoon. On the back of them, it states that if you want a refund then you need to mail them back to the Cubs. Make sure you do it by November 30th.

What a braindead decision. Not only will I not get my "convenience fees" back, but I also have to piss away more money to ship them to the Cubs, rather than them just crediting my account. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

bahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I feel for those that have to go through the refund process, I really do. Can't imagine that the Cubs couldn't refund the fees as well...lord knows they didn't make enough from us already this year.

Call me crazy, but what good does mailing the tickets back to the Cubs do? It's not like they can be used at any other game in the future. They're simply momentos at this point.

(Although I did buy two 2003 Cubs World Series tickets off of ebay a couple years ago).

A friend of mine talked to tickets.com today. It seems that those of us who chose print at home option will not have to mail anything back. We should see a refund sometimes next week.

Hopefully somebody else heard the same.

When I called about first round tickets that is what they told me as well. I'm hoping that is the same for the second round.

I just called the Cubs ticket office (773-404-CUBS). Those of us with NLCS tickets will get an automatic refund by sometime next week. Those of us with NLDS "game 2" tickets will need to mail them back in, however. For those of us that live nearby, we can drop the tickets off inside the green "administrative office" door on Clark. Apparently there's a ticket window inside there.

What's their number?

See, I called this morning as well and they said that I had to mail back any tickets (I had NLCS game 1) and couldn't drop them off at the stadium.

I think I'm just going to wait a week or so and see if my account is credited before I go and spend another $5 to mail them back with delivery confirmation and all of that BS.

Also, my 4 SRO tickets cost $100 face, but the charge was $157 (including $15 for 3 day FedEx). So, basically, I spent $57 for the right to have tickets to an unplayed game. What a bunch of garbage.

They sound really disorganized right now. I'm going to wait about a week, as well, to see what happens. Hopefully we won't have to send any tickets in.

Of course, I still need to go down to fedex to pick up the nlcs tickets just in case.

Are you referring to hard tickets, not print at home?

Why would you have to mail in NLCS Game 2 tickets and not Game 1?

The Cubs recommend sending tickets via certified mail or other tracking services.

What a joke.

Does this mean we'll receive every dollar we paid for the tickets? That's what I take it to mean...

it looks like everything minus the shipping. it just pisses me off because now I have to track down a ticket I sold on Ebay. it's a little ridiculous.

I'm assuming the person you sold it to on Ebay wants a refund as well. Tell them they'll get theirs when you get the ticket back.

I was dumb enough to give them the refund already. :l33t:

The lady was extremely nice, so I don't think it's going to be a problem. It's just ridiculous that the Cubs are looking to make money on a game not played, hoping that people don't turn their tickets back in so they don't have to give a refund.

Yeah. I'm not sure why they need the tickets to issue refunds either.

So it sounds like for the NLCS tickets, we don't have to do anything, we'll automatically get the refund. Am I reading that correctly?

Yes. I stopped in to the ticket office today and that's what they said.

And they're referring to the extra fees on the NLCS tickets. As far as the NLDS tickets, it remains to be seen what fees they're refunding. The guy at the office today seemed to think none of those fees were being refunded. Also he said that it may take up to 6 weeks to process the refund on NLDS tickets, but they were obviously going to try and make it quicker. He said the NLCS refunds should be done by next week.
