Glenallen Hill.

I mean seriously, he hit a ball on top of a building.

He hit a homerun while in the process of stepping into the batter's box.

wasn't it a line drive over the first baseman while stepping into the box?

Nope. HR. There was a thread on it last year or so... perhaps Jon has the video? I already checked on youtube.

The check swing broken bat was the coolest one.

this will make me feel ashamed...but john kruk was a very good baseball player. but no one knows him for that, they know him as the obnoxious dumbass loudmouth on espn, and rightfully so.

I'm not ashamed. I always thought he was a very good ballplayer with a very good bat and I always liked him as a ballplayer.

He is more like that redneck friend of yours who is a whole lot of fun to hangout with when your drinking, however when your sober he gets annoying pretty fast.

Bobby Abreu was underrated, til everyone started talking about how underrated he was; now he's overrated.

Also, I've never seen a great player as vilified by his own fans as Adam Dunn.

Historically...Randy Johnson....isn't put into top pitcher talks but he's one of the most dominant of all time.

Really? Seems like I hear frequently from ESPN talking heads that RJ is one of the best lefties of all time. Not saying he's necessarily overrated, but I would say he gets plenty of respect from the media/fans.

Pedro Guerrero, Kent Hrbek, and most underrated of my youth...

Al Oliver.

Oooh, good ones.

Oliver's career: .303 .344 .451 121 (ops-plus)

Guerrero: .300 .370 .480 137 (!!)

Hrbek: .282 .367 .481 127

You could argue that Guerrero is the most underrated hitter since WWII. Look at these OPS-plus numbers for the prime yrs of his career:

I'll make another suggestion and I fully expect to be slammed on this one: Adam Everett.

you mean you want somebody to slam you so you can throw your preloaded statistics at them in an attempt to make them look or feel dumb.

That said, I'd like to see your argument, as a first glance shows me a career OPS+ of 69.

I saw Pedro Guerrero play for the Sioux Falls Canaries in one of the minor independent baseball leagues in the mid-90's.
