Considering we've gotten exactly nothing useful from the supporting striker spot, I would say a lot. I think Davies would stretch the backline (something Findley does in theory), but would actually do something useful when given an opportunity. Findley has been fed some really great passes, but hasn't done anything with them, because tactically, his mind isn't fast enough for this level and his decision making is subpar. His speed then becomes less and less useful as the game goes on, because teams figure out he can't hurt you too badly. He's too tentative. Davies has the mental tenacity, decision making ability, arrogance and pace you want in a support striker. If you want to play the hypothetical game, though, imagine Giuseppe Rossi, Neven Subotic and Jermaine Jones all on this roster. We'd have a shot to win the whole thing. Hell, even with just Jones and Davies I'd rate us as able. do you think jones will ever play on the usmnt? getting a little ahead now, but who do you see as making up the 2014 world cup team? i know nothing about our u-20 or u-17 teams.
