Ah the cheesy slogan, the staple of any crappy, small market team.

I'm bored today so I've decided to bring this back although I'm pretty sure which one will be voted the worst...

while the sox one is pretty terrible...

"Pledge Your Allegiance" is absolutely horrible. Wow.

I'm still trying to figure out the Astros one.

The Dodgers win in my view. I mean, at least the others show some shred of creativity. How much did that person get paid for coming up with "It's time for Dodger baseball?"

yeah, I dont get that either. It makes more sense for the whitesox, since their announcers always call them "good guys"

:puke:

the marlins one is just so sad. I'm imagining that empty stadium when i read it and the junior copywriter tasked to "come up with a line that'll put asses in seats."

That one got my vote...it is dumb and doesn't make sense.

How about the Pirates... "We Will"

we will what? Lose 90 games? Get another top 5 draft pick? Have one of the lowest payrolls in the league?

just came to say that

"Pledge Your Allegiance" is god awful. That sounds like a slogan they'd use for "Live Free or Die Hard" before they'd fire the guy who came up with it

That's a phrase Vin Scully uses at the beginning of Dodger games.

I've got to go with "Pledge Your Allegiance" too. The others are stupid and inane, but that slogan is just outright absurd. It was the only one that made me laugh.

I voted "You Could Use Some Baseball" because it's so easily refuted with "With a team a hell of a lot better than our terrible-ass team in Arlington"

I voted for the Marlins, it smacks of desperation.

Kind of like Rick Moranis in Ghost Busters trying to get people to come to his party.

Rockies - "R You In?"

Tell me this isn't real.

The White Sox marketing is dreadful, mostly because their most popular choice in marketing is attacking the Cubs. I don't like the idea of admitting that your brand is less popular to attract people to your side.

Yeah the entire Sox marketing campaign is pretty bad. There's the one ad on buses and in the train and such that has a picture of Bobby Jenks that says "I have two pitches - Fast ball and faster ball"

Here's a good one:

State College Spikes (our local Short-A Pirate Affiliate) has "The Bucs Start Here" as their slogan this year. I like it

Shouldn't the Rockies' slogan have something to do with Jesus? That would be far more fitting.

I voted for the Marlins also.
