He's here to stay! The future HOF had a great day today! Looks like he's our CF for the next 15 years.

I really like what Felix has done the last couple of days. But c'mon, when is that glass gonna spill?

Just kidding, I think/HOPE Felix is here to stay.

It's so refreshing to see one of our prospects come in and deliver right away. What's impressed me, is the energy he brings to the lineup--not to mention his live bat. Plant him in CF for the next decade, and I'm a happy fan!

I think barring a major slump he is here to stay. His walk numbers weren't great in the minors, but he has been semi-selective in the bigs, so I expect him to only have a slightly below average OBP. Add his defense and his speed and he is looking like a player that will find his way in the lineup 5 out of every 7 games or more.

He's on fiya right now, and doing what the needs to do. Hopefully when he hits a rough patch they'll move him to the 8 spot and not to Iowa.

I'm all about the Pue BandWGN...but even Patterson had his days where he looked unbeatable. I'm not saying Pie is Corey II (and I really don't think he is), but I'm gonna be a little patient in watching our latest "can't miss" prospect.

I think he's in CF to stay; I hope he's in the 2 hole to stay. Except against lefties; Theriot or DeRosa can bat 2nd against lefties, and Pie can bat 7th or 8th.

i don't understand the talk of all this "electricity" and "infectious energy"...is it because he's fast and good?

Yes and his attitude helps.

One indication of his attitude is that, when he was sent back down earlier this season, he hurried back to Iowa to get there in time for the next game. Many players take all or at least much of the 72 hours they're allowed to report, but Pie didn't even want to miss one game. He wants to play, whether it's in the majors or minors.

Funny, I think Corey II is exactly what he is.

So far, he's shown great speed and flashes of a power bat while drawing one walk in 70 major-league PA for a .275 OBP.

While the lack of walks are similar, Corey and Pie are looking VERY different at the plate. Patterson pretty much just flailed at anything that came in front of him. Felix has shown better judgement and more patience than that and has just gotten better with time, whereas Corey seemed to get worse.

Hopefully his attitude will make all the difference. I get the impression Corey wasn't all that interested in learning to adjust.

Some of us have been appreciating Felix for 5 years already.

Oh yeah.

Coming up through the minors, people raved about his attitude. Something about being the son of a pro athlete made him know how to approach his job.

The attitude accusations didn't come until he flailed at the majors.

Yep...this is what was so frustrating about Corey.

Don't see that - he was one of the hardest workers in the system, routinely show up earlier than he had to for spring training.
