Is anyone afraid that our big announcement could be the return of Glendon Rusch?

That would be a solid move.

I bet there is nothing solid on Glendon these days

Aren't tumors solid?

Come on. Stop it. Tumors are not funny.

What if a clown gets a tumor?

I think this whole thing is going to be like the Office episode where Michael Scott promises a big surprise, and then can't think of anything and all he can come up with is ice cream sandwiches.

Though I'd prefer Lou buy us all ice cream sandwiches to demoting Guzman.

Maybe Lou gave the Gooz an ice cream sandwich to make him feel better about being demoted?

Then he's be a sad clown. And sad clowns are no fun at parties.

Gooz said he LIKED being back in the pen. Maybe Lou really did give him an ice cream!

Maybe Lou said in an angry parent voice, "You're going to the bullpen and you're gonna like it!" and Guzman was too scared not to.

If Miller is our 5th man in the rotation, we just took a major step backwards. I don't have a clue what that soft tossing righty could offer the team aside from a loss.

Guzman to Dempster to Marshall to Miller. Talk about downgrade.

I bet Glendon Rusch is next.

Miller's final line, which included four earned runs on six hits and three walks balanced by three strikeouts, wasn't overwhelming, but his mechanics were solid and he seemed to be upgrading his game as the innings passed. His fastest pitch of the night, an 88-mph fastball, came in his final inning of work, a positive indication of both his increased stamina and his finding his comfort zone on the mound.

did miller's mom write this or what? what a puff piece.
