Last week, the All-Star Game ballot was released. It's time to support our Cubs. Pledge your daily votes here.

I think we should vote for Lee, Barrett, and Ramirez. Feel free to vote for others, but those three deserve our support.

(I'm also marking Sosa on all my AL ballots.)

I'll keep up with daily pledges. I'll vote at least 100 a day. As of right now, my count is 3025 votes cast.

If you need email addys, just use those from your junk email folder.

Ah yes, vote early and vote often.

I'm not much of a fan of the all-star game, but I don't see how Lee doesn't make it this year.

Lack of power.

(You knew someone would say it.)

I think we should do a 'Vote for Murton' campaign similar to the 'Vote for Rory' campaign some NHL fans did this year.

well, i think Vote for Ronny would be much better and much more fitting if you're going to frame it around Vote for Rory. Rory was a bad player, Ronny is a bad player. Rory sounds like Ronny. Rory was not a regular in the Canucks lineup, and neither is Ronny. we should all vote in Ronny Cedeno.

Vote or Die!

At the risk of sounding like a dick to one of my favorite posters (Vance). How in the hell do you have that much time on your hands? I mean, 3,000 votes in a week?

Also, am I the only one who is sick to death of All Star Balloting? I mean, seriously, is it really that cool to see a .197 batting Mike Piazza start or something like that. Give me a break. With the amount of idiot fans and ways to screw the system (like voting 3,000 times per week), does it even matter anymore? Also, voting starting in April. That's just stupid. If they keep the voting, limit it to a two week window before the selections are made, so that the ridiculous voting comes to an end.

Keep the "vote in the 25th guy" thing, because either way a deserving player will make it. Maybe add a "vote for the starting pitcher" thing also, because then a guy who is already on the team will get the honor. But as far as all star starter voting. Keep it.

Yeah, I don't want the World Series to start in an AL stadium because Ronny Cedeno struck out on a ball four pitch in the dirt with the bases loaded in the third inning of the All Star game.

It takes about 4-5 minutes to vote 25 times. Often as I'm voting, I'm doing something else like watching the NFL draft or watching a baseball game or shouting profanities at the Mavericks. I hardly have to look at my screen to vote. So, voting 200 times might take me 20 minutes tops and I was probably doing something else during that entire time.

fans don't vote for pitchers

Which is very bizarre. All Star games are stupid anyway, and I don't really care about the voting. But what is the point of letting fans stuff ballots for hitters and not pitchers? Do they think fans aren't capable of judging what a quality pitcher is?

It's all part of making the All-Star game as pointless and archaic as possible. Seriously. Home field advantage. In the Series. Decided in an exhibition game. Idiotic.

It's not like deciding it randomly was much better.

Well, it wasn't decided randomly, everybody knew which league would have it going into the year. It rotated, that's not random.

Yeah, I just used random in the sense that it's not related to anything about the strength of the teams playing in it or the strength of the league. Personally, I wish they'd give it to the team with the best record, but if it's down to either rotating it from league to league each year or having it won in the All-Star game, I like the All-Star game idea a little better.

I think the winner of the Interleague Series, as in whichever league has the better interleague record, should be more of an indicator as to who should get home field. That is far less idiotic than having it decided either by rotation or by a single exhibition game which may or may not include the best players and coaches from each league.
