well that could get Riot some playing time.

He's already playing SS. If DERO goes down that means Izturis or Cedeno in the lineup

I meant if something was broke. He'd pretty much be guaranteed to play almost every day.

Yeah, me too. The way Lou sounded today, Theriot will be playing SS unless he proves he can't...

How has he looked today, by the way?

Has Wuertz been taking lessons from Eyre?

Relievers give up runs now and then, even the good ones.

I know. Just the typical knee-jerk overreaction in game threads.

Why wouldn't Lou use Ohman or Eyre here in mop-up duty. Maybe it would help them get on track, while saving our good arms (Wuertz) for a close game?

Ok bleacher idiots, we can do without the whole "throw it back" spiel.

It's funny when you're drunk...

another horrible guest conductor

seriously, they need to pull the plug on this

Agreed. What should replace it? A recording of Harry? Ron Santo? A strict restriction on who can sing it, like former players/broadcasters only?

How about people that can actually sing?

Harry would have never gotten the job in the first place.

OH NOES!!! Wuertz gave up a run.

and his ERA jumped all the way to 0.82. OH NO!

I'm content with his ERA jumping when the Cubs are up by 6 runs. As long as he doesn't do it when the Cubs are up a run or two.

You know Flames, its things like that that make being a Cub fan the best. The stupid rituals, the annoying Ronnie Woo Woos, the dependence on curses.

I just don't think you get it.

3 things:

1) Ohman is getting back on track-two good outings in a row

2) Eyre pitched last night

3) off day tomorrow-it doesn't really matter too much who pitches today, they'll all be ready Friday
