alright, it is fine and dandy that the boys are winning and what have you, but i seriously am not going to be a believer in this team until they turn around their 0-8 is 2 runs or less games and their 0-3 in extra inning games record...

by a turnaround, i mean a winning record in those categories...you may call me a dreamer, but i truly feel that this team could go all the way this year...

i think that the series could quite possibly be the sox vs. the cubs...and the cubs can take em...in theory

however, i don't care if they go on a friggin 40 game win streak right now blowing the crap out of their opponents...if they don't turnaround those championship team categories...then they just will not have what it takes when it comes down to the nitty gritty

my 3 cents

I think if we can blow teams out for 40 straight games we'd be sittin pretty.

Do people not understand that blowing teams out is more impressive than winning close games?

I think its a pretty common misconception. Winning close games just means you got a little lucky and was evenly matched with another team.

Blowing a team out means you beat them in every sense of the game.

Or in this case it means they scored a bunch of runs on the Brewers worst pitchers.

In 2005, the Indians had 93 wins but were 22-36 in one run games. That same season, Seattle had 69 wins but was 26-23 in one run games

Why has Hall suddenly decided to play defense in this season?

He had some ridiculous range at short last year. I want to say a study showed he made more plays outside the normal zone than anyone else not named Everett last year... he just wasn't as effective inside it.

Consistency is really his only problem... which is hardly surprising considering the way the Brewers have jerked him around all over the diamond.

Thus, it doesn't matter how much you win by, just win!

ok...but putting that in context...seattle didn't make the postseason...therefore, it has no event on my arguement

Seriously, how good is Lee's BABIP right now? He's now over a 1000 OPS with only 1 HR, that's insane this far into the season.
I think a third of his hits being doubles has something to do with that...
