What am i talking about? How about the guy who tried to throw pizza on a player a couple of weeks ago in the stands in Fenway (think it was Vlad Guerrero as intended target...you know he is soo anti-Boston) or the idiot who threw an entire beer in Jose Guillen's face (its one thing to dump a beer and quite another to throw it in someones face). Ya, sooo much class from that bunch this year.

No doubt about that. Classless all the way. I'd bet that every fan base has some folks who are classless.

BTW, it's the Cubs for me. I couldn't care less about all the other teams in the league.

I don't mind watching Yankees games, because they're pretty much always entertaining baseball. I can root for the BoSox, Orioles, A's, and now in agreement with Roast, the Texas Sammys.

 

I can only do this if the Cubs haven't discouraged me from baseball altogether though. After last May, I spent the rest of the season forgetting baseball completely.

Their team last year grew on me. Plus I love Dontrelle and Cabrera. Two of my favorite players to watch.

 

Seeing how most of their 03 team is gone, I have no ill will towards them. And I look at that series as we beat ourselves, not the Marlins beating us.

well, the first story is sort of true, but you have the facts wrong. The guy was throwing his pizza at another fan. If you really wanted to point out the classlessness of the fans, you should point out that A) a fan was being made fun of because he had a whole pizza pie in the stands (super classy) and B) that a fan (who is also very classy) threw his pizza at the fan who made fun of him.

The younger fans should have passes for the last two teams since we weren't old enough to know the rivalry with the Mets and the choke in 1984 against the Padres. I personally dislike the Mets because they are a New York team.

Come to think of it.. The Braves are a great alternate team to root for... Especially because most of their games are on TBS... So it won't be too hard to follow them. It's also a nicely built and likeable club.
