I hope that last call was absolutely terrible. I hope all the freaking loser Cubs cry themselves to sleep tonight. They didn't deserve to win, they don't deserve to have jobs. What a pathetic team.

I couldn't even watch the game but I can rest assured knowing that the Ump is in no way the reason we lost this game....going scoreless for the last 9 innings...now THAT might have something to do with it...maybe.

 

You mean the botched DLee CS call at 3B just prior to the ARam HR didn't cost a run?

Well, the Cubs got screwed a couple of times by the umpires. They also failed to come through with a hit when they had their chance several times, and blew their lead. Not much to say about this one. They played mediocre baseball, and the Brewers, with some help, were better.

 

This was a pretty disappointing game. We will most likely be seeing a lot more of those this season.

when are people going to look and see the same things happening with the cubs that have always happened to cubs teams--you know, things that absolutely never happen to other teams and admit that there could be something to curses?

 

the cubs can't win because they are cursed, people, they are cursed cursed cursed. they will never win in that ballpark no matter who they have. they've assembled a team full of past winners and still they can't win.

 

this team is cursed.

We are the champions of one thing at least.....finding new ways to lose games. In the past four days, we've had a base runner thrown out on a walk and a batter called out after a HBP, unreal. I'd like to think it can't get any worse, but then again it's the Cubs.

Yes, it's a curse that we have an incompetent GM who spends millions of dollars on an unhealthy, out-of-shape middle reliever who sucks.

 

I also now know why Hawk likes Piniella so much. He's a carbon copy of Guillen. Micro-manages every part of the game and runs out of players in situations like these.
