CUBS haven't beaten San Diego since Zambrano shut 'em out 4-0 on Sun 05 June 2005 in San Diego.

Go CUBS !!

I also believe Glendon Rusch had a CG Shoutout with a 4-hitter in the same series.

Yeah.. It's not hard to forget a game where Glendon Rusch throws a gem.

Cubs win due to first night game.

The same way they won their first day game and their first home game this year?

sorry

Well.... we haven't lost a night game yet this season !!

In the even that the Cubs do win this game, I won't be able to post a new game thread till about 10 pm PT. If that's too late for you folks, go ahead and start one.

I could see this being a problem if this was a morning game. But since it's an afternoon/night game it won't end until around 7 PT.

And couldn't you just delete the first thread anyway if somebody started it in your place?

Kerry Wood and Mark Prior haven't given up any hits, walks, runs or homeruns yet either. They're neck-and-neck for CYA !!

Or should I say, shoulder to shoulder?

Someon needs to fetch Henry Rosenbooger, Henry Rottengarder, Hen----heck....the kid with the "golden arm." If need be bring "The Rocket" Gary Busey, with him.

Dave Van Dyck / The Tribune[/url]"]

Reliever Scott Eyre was still hospitalized at game time, although he was scheduled to be released later in the day after suffering from dehydration. Because of his weakened condition, he is not expected to pitch Monday.

Third baseman Aramis Ramirez rested his swollen left hand/wrist for a third straight day, but Piniella said he was optimistic about Ramirez playing Monday night.

Yeah, I could but wouldn't. Not gonna stop people if they want to get started early talking about the game.

I wouldn't exactly say he has been pitching, Dave.

The Cubs faced Houston without having to see Oswalt and Jennings. And now they will face SD without seeing Young or Peavy and Atlanta without Smoltz and Hudson. And will likely see St. Louis this weekend without having to face Carpenter. Now is the time to win some damn games!
