My guess is that they want to give Floyd rest, but they also want Murton acclimated to RF so that he and Floyd can play together some days.

 

 

I think that's the most likely situation, but it's also possible they are trying to showcase Murton for a trade. If Lou really does have a strong preferrence for Floyd and Jones at the corners then it might be a good idea to see what Murton could bring on the open market. Better than letting him rot on the bench waiting for a LHP to face.
