Soriano is COLDDDDDDDD

If cold is a 6-game hitting streak with four doubles, then I have no doubt he'll earn his money this year.

I guess it's because he's been going like 1 for 4 or 5 every game..Im waiting for 2 or 3 hit games hes used to

I agree that he's cold, I'm just saying that if this is what the cold Fonz gives us, I'll have a hard time complaining about him.

At least they took the series.

I wasn't paying much attention till the 8th but were they really calling those pitches off the plate all game or just once the Brewers opened the game up?

Goats of the game...(pick one)...

Wade Miller: 4 IP, 9 H, 6 ER, wasn't fooling anyone

Mark DeRosa: 0-4, 4 SO, 4 LOB, throwing error

Ronny Cedeno: 0-4, made the first and last out in the 4 run 6th, the final out being with the bases loaded

Scott Eyre: 1 IP, 3 ER on triple by Counsell to put the game out of reach

Yikes. I can't pick one. They all get it.

Unlike the other most recent pitching performances, Miller put them in a hole so he gets the prize!

Although, it would have felt better to lose 6-4 (especially with 2 on and Lee at the plate in the ninth) so Eyre gets an Honorable Mention.

I would pick Cedeno. He should have been charged with that error too. No way are you going to turn a DP in that situation. Get atleast that out at 2b. Cedeno is proving that he is not a clutch player.

I don't think he was trying to turn a DP, I think he was trying to not get his leg broken.

He would have made the play and not broken his leg if he was clutch.

Miller. DeRosa's Ks wouldn't have been as big if Miller actually, you know, pitched well.

Miller is the reason we couldn't win this game. The offense was cold early on, but got back into it. I know Eyre's three-run inning was bad, but we were still playing catch-up then. If we have a starting pitcher who can keep things close, this offense can score. Miller put us in a six run hole. I hope to see someone else in that spot when the fifth starter's turn comes around again.

Barrett didn't bring his A game either. I would love to see him learn how to block a few balls in the dirt, and stop making simple mistakes (like not catching a ball right to his glove) at crucial points in the game.

This is the type of loss that I can't get too angry over. It just wasn't the Cubbies day, they got clobbered for the most part. But it still is annoying to rally to within 6-4 and have at least two great chances to do more damage and come up empty. But I knew Cedeno wasn't going to come through with the sacks jammed.
