I hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling about tomorrow game.

Yeah, after looking at those batter/pitcher matchups I'm not too enthusiastic either. Let's hope they can drive up Arroyo's pitch count and get him out early.

Enough with your pessimism. Tomorrow will be the first game I'll get to watch since I get off at noon and I am very optimistic about pulling back to .500.

I predict Lilly's first win, going six innings allowing only one run. :D

At game time:

Temperature : 46°F

Feels like: 38°F

Winds will gust to 20 mph from the WNW, which is basically from first to third at GABP.

Looks like we'll be seeing Under Armour® tomorrow.

The superstation is showing an hour of America's Funniest Home Videos, an hour of Home Improvement, and an hour of Becker during the game. Bring back the 150 games on WGN deal please.

How in the world do they think those could get better ratings than a Cubs game? Especially the second game of the year. Befuddling.

Please.

That's basically the lineup for WGN Superstation for whenever a Cubs or Bulls game is on Comcast or WCIU. :puke:

I honestly don't see what's keeping WGN from just airing most Cubs and Bulls games. Yeah, the rights fees would be more expensive, but I can't possibly believe the increased ad revenue wouldn't defray that. They could be Your Home for Chicago Sports (they already call themselves that, but it would actually be true this time). How could this miss?

THANK YOU! That's all I been asking for all those years. Unfortunately, those jokers won't do it, and it really chaps my you know where.

WGN programming as a whole, outside sports coverage, is a complete joke. They show crap movies, crap sitcoms, and crap series. I can't fathom the idiots that have to be behind those choices in lieu of Cubs, Bulls, and (shudder) White Sox games. How do they get anyone to watch that channel???

If the Cubs can somehow ever get out of the WGN TV programming contracts, they should definitely make their own channel like the Yankees. Could you imagine the amount of revenue the team could make from such a thing?

I guess WGN News is pretty popular among Chicago. Thats about the only thing they produce well other than Cubs baseball.

The Cubs cant show a 150 game schedule on WGN per MLB rules. Its the Anti-Super Station Rule. It was aimed At The Braves, Cubs and Yanks as a way to hamstring the owners who also had a TV channel as part of the empire.

Once the Cubs sale WGN could broadcast 150 games if they wanted. However the loss the Cubs have taken on the TV deal, (a tax thing), would mean that WGN would have to pony up real fees for Cubs games. You could see an owner who miscalculates and then those of us not in Chicago lose all Cubs games outside the TBS/FOX/ESPN games. Which at that point I would probably go dish.
