Top 9/ 2-2 tie

Bases loaded

Closser vs Walrond

pitch one: pop up!

mid 9

Who's due up for the Cubs?

I think it's Coats, Hoffpauir and EPatt.

EPatt-Bomb?

Hope so for his sake. Maybe it will make Lou forget about the misplay.

Never gets the chance.

we'll just assume that he would have hit a dinger.

FYI, the Sox extended Vasquez

Wasn't it something insane like 3/34?

3/34.5 I think.

That is absolutely horrible.

It's in-line with what's been going on in MLB. Teams are paying for IP more than anything else. Vasquez is probably good for about 200 average innings a year. I think he compares favorably to some guys who got more than him.

Yeah, I don't see how it's any different from the contracts that guys like Meche and Lilly got.

To have 4 errors and only give up 2 runs-that was a great pitching performance all around today. Good work.

I don't see how Milwaukee could be the NL Central darling with such unclutch performances.

Definitely about right, given the market this offseason, but that doesn't mean that it isn't ridiculous.

I don't think the deal is that bad actually.

You're both right. It's less-bad than almost every other contract from this off-season, but ti's still horrible. They're all getting overpaid.
