I've been spending a lot of time on YouTube this afternoon, looking at various videos. Getting me pumped up.

I've been preparing for the worst. I'll sleep easier.. and I'll be content no matter what the outcome is.

The America's Game on the 1985 Bears has me plenty ready.

I still don't think the impact of being in the Super Bowl again has fully hit me yet. I don't think that will happen fully until tomorrow sometime. Maybe the player introductions.

one conferences best offense has faced anothers best defense 4 times in previous super bowls

the best defense won each game

Add on to that is this fact: 3 of the last four QBs on the losing side of the Super Bowl (Gannon/McNabb/Hasselbeck) were ranked in the Top 5 for QBs during the season. (*Delhomme was 14th in 03). So with Manning being #1 in QB , and the Bears are coming off beating the #3 ranked QB in 2006, I feel semi-confident the Bears will beat the Colts.

Holy moley is this going to be a fun gambling game!

20 straight up on Colts

Great square numbers for 125 a quarter (7 Colts, Bears 0; Colts 4, Bears 1)

and my 2500 a quarter squares have yet to be revealed!

I really don't care who wins, but I hope the Bears do.

This place will not be fun to be around for a while if they lose.

Nah, spring training is coming up. If the Bears lose, there will be a few days of sadness, but this is a Cubs site. The thought of the Cubs starting up will bring everyone back up.

Of course, that's only if they lose. If they win, expect months of jubilation. :)

In professional American football, the Super Bowl is the name of the championship game of the National Football League (NFL) in the United States. The game and its ancillary festivities constitute Super Bowl Sunday which over the years has become a de facto U.S. national holiday.

The Super Bowl was first played on January 15, 1967 as part of an agreement between the NFL and its younger rival, the American Football League (AFL) in which each league's championship team would play each other in an "AFL-NFL World Championship Game". After both leagues merged in 1970, the Super Bowl became the NFL's championship game. Since then, the game has been played annually on a Sunday following the playoffs, originally early to mid-January, then late January, and in recent years, the first Sunday in February.

Bears Super Bowl Loss = 03 NL Championship

Not even close.

I feel the same way. The Bears are great and all (and my favorite football team by far), but they will never be on the same level as the Cubs. At least not to me. I was at game 7 of the NLCS, and I can guarantee a Bears loss wouldn't have the same effect on me.

I'm going to miss having the buildings office lit up (Go Bears, Super Bears, NFC Champs, etc). Is it just me or is there like 3x as many Bears windows as there were for the Sox?

:? As a non-Bears fan, are you even qualified to chime in? Hmmm...

Still, just making it to the Super Bowl is an achievement. A Super Bowl loss wouldn't come close to equalling how painful the 03 NLCS was.

I was going to say something, but I don't want to jinx.

And temporarily, I wash my hands at those who are comparing the Bears Super Bowl run to the painful loss of the Cubs in the NLCS. Bears fans don't need to have negative thoughts going into tonights game.
