One more point, all this Americas team is the biggest bunch of crap Ive ever heard. If youre ignorant enough to be cheering for the Saints because you think itll help make New Orleans a better city, then Im sorry for you.

I'm rooting for New Orleans for 2 reasons.

1. I picked them to reach the Super Bowl (though I think they're going to win anyway) and I have to stick with my picks.

2. My dad is a Bears fan and it would be insufferable to have him celebrate a Super Bowl title (although not as bad as if the Dodgers won the World Series). Now before you Bears fans suggest I should root for the Bears and be happy for my dad if they won, let me just say one thing: He pulled for the Marlins in 2003. He didn't laugh when the Cubs lost but he wasn't the least bit sympathetic.

ETA: Although I am starting to sort of question my pick of the Saints considering all of the so called NFL experts are picking them to win. I never like it in the playoffs when there isn't a big difference between the two teams but all of the "experts" are picking one of the teams. Not a good sign. Frankly, I trust the Vegas oddsmakers way, WAY more than most of the analysts on TV or online. Vegas has the game essentially as a pick em (Bears favored by 3 but they're playing at home).

I think he's skittish now because of the injuries. I don't really blame him.

Also, I'm pretty sure they sped up the play in my avatar to make him appear faster.

I agree that his reluctance to run has to do mainly with the injuries.

As for the speed up in your avatar, if you count off seconds with the game clock, it doesn't look like they sped it up too much, if at all. I think it just looks really fast because it's so tiny. Could be wrong, though.

This is all a bunch of crap. I was out at a bar tonight and all the morons who don't have a team to cheer for are cheering for the Aint's. I wore a Bears hat out and I got yelled at a little bit, and some cheers as well. Itll be so gratifying if the Bears can prove everyone wrong. Im still confused as to how the Saints are the hottest team in the NFL (please, someone explain to me this quote), but I like the feeling the Bears have at this moment.

I don't get the whole "Saints are a hot team in the playoffs." They went 3-3 in their final 6 games (The Bears went 4-2 over the same period). And after their Bye Week, the Saints went something like 5-5. And they beat the Eagles by the same score the Bears beat the Seahawks, and yet the Saints "are hot", and the Bears are "playing inconsistant." I just don't understand the double standard. The Saints, IMO, are playing more inconsistantly then the Bears. And if it wasn't for Bush/McCallisters, the Saints would have NO OFFENSE, whatsoever. Atleast with the Bears, they can match up the 2 RBs against the Saints two, not to mention the Bears have a couple of WR who are playing well (Berriand and Davis) and they should be favorites.

But when the Bears win Sunday, the NFL, and America will be disappointed.

Ok, I understand the beef about the Saints being the hot team and America's darlings. I get that and believe me, I'm tired of it as well because it get so annoyingly repetitive after a while. But don't let that cloud your judgement. The statement "if it wasn't for Bush/McCallisters (sic), the Saints would have NO OFFENSE, whatsoever" is flat out wrong. You have heard of Drew Brees right? You know, the guy who threw for 4418 yards this year? Also, if you look at straight rushing ability, then yes, the Bears are probably a bit better. But Bush provides exceptional receiving ability as a running back and that can't be discounted. Factoring in that, I would take the Saints' running backs over Chicago's any day.

All the hype gets worse and worse as we get closer to the Super Bowl. The fewer the teams the more we hear some very horrible breakdowns by people searching for a story along with overstating the same stories over and over again. Edited by CuseCubFan69

I love the manner in which the media is harping on great Saints offense and average to poor Bears defense. Basically assuming the Bears offense is not going to gain yard 1 vs. the Saints defense. Last I looked the Bears weren't facing a Saints defense akin to the '85 Bears. Hey Jaws, if the Bears defense is so average what's NO's?

Wow, I knew the media would get to the Bears fans this week. Guys, we knew coming into this week that this was how it was going to be. And it's only going to get worse right up until kickoff. Just don't watch or read anything on ESPN until then. And I'm pretty sure the pregame show is going to be the worst thing yet. But we shouldn't be this bitter (myself included) over a game that hasn't happened yet.

I just want them to play the game. I'm sick of talking about it really. Everything that can be said has been said. I can't wait until Sunday.

Agreed. Let's just play the game. Who is more or less satisfied with their '06/'07 accomplishments, and who badly wants to advance to the Super Bowl? That's what I think this one's about.

I hope the Bears are the latter. 8-)

Accuweather up to minute forecast for sunday. Cloudy, snow possible. High of 28 degrees. Windchill in the teens. (Which means bitterly cold, and I won't be going outside)

http://www.weather.com/outlook/health/allergies/wxdetail/60605?dayNum=2&from=weekend

Weatherchannel has 0% chance of snow for Sunday during the day.

Weather.com isn't the best indicator for anything more than 2 days. I'd trust NWS:

SUNDAY...SNOW LIKELY. LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 20S. CHANCE OF SNOW 60 PERCENT.

Weather.com currently has a 70% chance during the day on Sunday. While they don't predict a high in the mid-30s like they did early in the week, they don't think the wind will be as strong as originally thought, either.

Yea, there have been multiple writers to come right out and say that they don't like the Bears because they don't have a story. In the media, the lack of a story equates to bad football, because there's no way to appeal to the masses with anything sensational, just boring statistics. So they opt out with the overhyping on the negative side, making the Bears out to be this lucky inconsistent team who doesn't belong. I like it though, and I think the Bears do too.

If the Bears win you're going to go crazy waiting 2 weeks instead of one.

I go crazy waiting for 2 weeks for the Super Bowl regardless. IMO it's too much hype & waiting.

I can't wait for the reports that a player had his cuticle tore 1/100th of an inch and how it might effect the game.

I think it'd be awesome if we go full circle and start having fluff pieces on Rex Grossman battling adversity.

Yeah in true, NBC Olympic-coverage style. Show some Grossman baby pictures to give it some extra punch.

"NO OFFENSE"???

Did you know we have a quarterback who has the most passing yards in the entire NFL. Had 11 games this year with a 90+ passer rating. Has only thrown one interception in his last 7 games.

We have the number one passing offense in the NFL, yet without our RB's we have "no offense?"

the offense begins and ends with Bush and Mccallister, if they werent there defenses would sit on the pass

and what you quoted is entirely true, the hacks at ESPN make it sound like the saints won every game since october and are steamrolling teams the way the colts did 2 years ago.

While playing "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera, or maybe "What I Did For Love" from A Chorus Line...

Regardless, 4400 yards is nothing to shake a stick at. Maybe without the RBs, his total drops to the neighborhood of 3,500, but the no offense claim is pretty tough to defend.

It just won't be enough offense to get out of Chicago alive 8-)

You could say that about damn near any team that has a decent running back.

"No Offense"...my aching ass.

You have better cheerleaders than we do.

Well OK we don't have any.
