Just got back from the game. . . . wow, it was a barn burner.

If our WRs could beat their man and if Dick could have thrown a couple decent passes, we coulda pulled that one out.

Oh well, you can't win em all. The Hogs were predicted to finish 4th in the SEC W. . . a 10 win season and a legit shot at the Sugar Bowl is nothing to be ashamed of.

I think DMac should play QB all game long (I took this pic earlier today)

You guys are right about going for two. I swear, Nutt acts like he has to go for two followin a PAT miss. He's been doing this crap for years. I don't think you should go for 2 until the 4th quarter.

I sincerely hope McFadden gets an invite to NYC for the Heisman ceremony. After his performance today, he's earned it.

Cool picture Mr. Hogg! That young man is a heck of a player.

I don't know who to root for in the USC ND game. With Arkansas out, it looks like it'll be USC in the NC game, or, if ND wins, Florida (assuming they beat arkansas next week). I'm not a huge ND fan, but I'm frankly sick of seeing USC in the title game (this would be, what, 4 years straight?)

I would also. I think Smith, Quinn, and McFadden are definitely going to New York, and Slaton is likely to go. I'm not sure who would be the 5th right now though as there are several candidates on the next level.

Same with me on USC. Id also rather root for Florida to beat OSU than USC. Plus i might get a chance to root for UM in the title game if ND wins. Although i dont think Florida is that good of team so if they go to the champ it will be a big surprise for them to beat OSU.

Oversimplfied analysis of ND/USC. USC isnt near as good as last year on offense or defense. ND isnt worse and might be a tad better. ND wins this year.

Mike Hart could be the 5th invite to the Downtown Athletic Club.

You know, you guys can shut up any time now.

You can lead the way.

Since I'm not participating in the same circular argument that happens every single week, I'm afraid I can't, really. Hard to shut up about something I'm not talking about.

If you don't like the argument you don't have to participate in it. What is boring to you may be interesting to others. Just because you aren't entertained doesn't mean the subject has to change.

It really doesn't have to do with it being boring, and really, I wouldn't have said anything if it hadn't gotten so over-the-top and juvenile of late.

Whatever dude. We'll be sure to run all future conversations by you for approval first. And it got pretty darn juvenile with your "you can all shut up now" post.

If you wants OSU-Michigan or OSU - UF root for the Irish.

If you want OSU - USC root for USC.

I'm still hoping ND wins by about 30 tonight and slides past Michigan.

Three straight years if they go this year.

Simple solution: root for USC today, UCLA next Saturday. :)

I'll root for ND today but ill make you a deal. No matter what happens tonight ill root for UCLA next week.

FSU's offense system is pure junk. They have 2 uber recruited QB's in Lee and Weatherford and neither of them can get success. That's poor coaching/strategy. And whattsup with Florida's kicker, he really sucks bad.

Just a note: USC was not in the 2003 NC game. That was OU v. LSU.

You sir, are a good man (unless you're female...in which case, you're a good lady).

The P.A.'s on Gameday weren't doing a good job. More than a few signs that were borderline inappropriate ("Quinn ryhmes with Brokeback" leading the way")

South Carolina should have about 28 on the board. Clemson's defense can't stop the run or pass, but they're giving the game away.

Always great to be inside the 20 with about 15 seconds left in the half, about to break a tie, and then have a big D-Lineman return an interception for 81 yards.

You have 3 timeouts with 30 seconds left, you line up incorrectly at first, and the playclock is winding down fast. Spurrier not calling a timeout was a big mistake.

Well, regardless of the likelihood of them coming back and winning bigtime in the second half, WV is not giving the style points they need. If Boise State wins today, the final at-large spot in the BCS is going to come down to a second Big East team (likely WV) and a second SEC team (LSU or Florida if they lose to Arkansas). WV needed to increase their style points as much as possible, and being down 14-6 to South Florida at halftime will not do that.

USC's defense is better than last years version.

I'd be shocked if McFadden doesn't get an invite after today's performance coupled with McCoy's injury. I think he's most likely to go after Smith and Quinn.

I would also. I think Smith, Quinn, and McFadden are definitely going to New York, and Slaton is likely to go. I'm not sure who would be the 5th right now though as there are several candidates on the next level.

They don't have to invite 5 players for the ceremony. Only Bush, Young, and Leinart were invited last year.

I guess I'm the only one who is eagerly awaiting the start of the Soul Bowl, better known as the Bayou Classic. I don't really care who wins, but I always enjoy the halftime battle of the bands b/n Southern Univ. and Grambling State.

I think the candidates are weak enough for them to invite a 5th person-I think they only invited 3 last year because vitually no one had anybody but those 3 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. I think some other names could get some top 3 votes this year, and so there will be a 5th invited-I'm just not sure who (Hart/Rice/Calvin Johnson/others).

Isn't that always the way? The game is an afterthought. Same goes for either team vs. PB, though to a lesser extent.

I agree they probably will. I was just saying that they don't necessarily have to invite 5.

As for an extra candidate, try Colt Brennan.
