Goony where did you sit? There were a bunch of Bears fans there.

section 119. Lower level, corner of east end zone. Walking in I heard a Giants fan say "Man, there are a lot of Bears fans here." I went with a friend who is a Giants fan.

I was in section 305. I hate how Giants stadium shows no important replays. It's bizarre and it makes it hard to figure out what's going on, especially during reviews.

They will never show a replay of a play that could be at all construed as negative against the Giants. My friend pointed that out right away and it was noticable all game.

I figured that was the case. I still figured they would show the reviews considering they all went the Giant's way.

I've never seen a worse game called from an offensive holding standpoint. After the Giants' tackle went down, the replacement was horse-collaring Alex on every play. Seriously: EVERY PLAY. That's holding, and it's Ed's call since he's the guy who stands back behind the line. He was letting it happen all damn night until the 4th quarter.

That's just unacceptable. And then to hear Madden call him the best. It made me sick. The guy is just a horrible, horrible ref.

You should E-mail him with your thoughts.

Doubtful. I assume they'd rather deal with 2 more 1.5 hour flights, sleep at home and practice at Halas Hall, rather than spend a week in Jersey City.

As fun as a week in Jersey City is....I think they will stick to the comfort of Lake Forest. Why not be treated like Demi-Gods strolling the affluent neighborhoods of the North Suburbs?

let me say that i hope the bears' mocking of the jumpshot puts an end to the practice altogether for 2 reasons:

1. it's totally stupid, it makes whoever does it look stupid. it's not funny, it's not even disrespectfully funny.

2. i'm sick of seeing 300 pound beef-a-roni butts jumping around in those totally unflattering panty hose-like uniform whatever-they're-called. it makes me physically ill to see all those jiggling tubs of flesh jumping around on a football field.

Chris Harris should be shot for his little dance as well.

i thought that little bit was funny. i don't know why i find grown men doing the charleston on a football field funny, but i do.

as for hester's hillbily dance against arizona, that was classic.

shooting a basketball? not so much. i mean, a third grader could have come up with that one. i guess that's my underlying objection to it, the inherent pre-pre-adolescent inoffensive sense of jubilation that goes into the whole thing--i find it intellectually embarassing.

come on guys, at least pretend to unzip your pants and pee in the player's eye or something.

also, merriman's lights-out dance is annoying. what's he doing? okay, shawn, i know that you're good because you took steroids, but please don't do that again.

I just got back and you should have seen that place after the 108 yard return. You could have heard a pin drop. Awesome.

A lot of people were trash talking because of my Rex jerset early, but that ended pretty quick.

Hester=speed.

I know Vasher ran around more, but Hester still ran 108 yards about 10 seconds faster than him

One more thing, when Hester caught the ball, he could have downed it in the end zone and got the ball at the 40 right? What happened if he ran it out - if he got tackled would the Bears get the ball where he was tackled?

Lovie in today's press conference said that they always run the missed FG play. They wait three seconds and then Hester is supposed to run it back. He said the Bears always score on it during practice. Then he busted out laughing. So I am confused. Did he want Hester to wait a few seconds and then run it out or what?

If Hester would have been tackled when he ran it out that is where they would have got the ball. It was a huge risk and Hester said the only reason he brought it out was because he seen the Bears have a wall lined up, and the Giants players with their head down walking off the field. Said if they would have been coming towards him he would have downed it no question at all.

As for Lovie, I think he was just joking around with the media.

Somewhere Dennis Gentry and Mike Ditka are relishing the 3rd and 22 draw play.

Mike Ditka returns from the kitchen "What happened?"

Dennis Gentry "Remember that 3rd and forever draw play that you called every single time it was 3rd down and everyone in the stadium knew was coming and never gained more than 3 yards?"

Ditka "Yeah"

Gentry "It actually worked"

Ditka "See? I told you it had to work eventually"

Wow I didn't realize what a huge risk it was. That makes it even more amazing!

The Bears might of gotten away with one on the fumble that Brown caused. As he was stripping Manning from behind, Tommie came in low and dove at Eili's legs below the waist. That could have been a 15 yarder and negated the fumble. That makes up for the mess up on the fumble earlier in the game. Each time i see the replay now i say whew that was a close one.

Harris got him right around belt-level. He slid down his legs, but never really grabbed them or wrapped them up. And by the time Harris was at his legs, Brown already had one of his legs wrapped up.

One of my favorite things about last night's game was Madden screaming for the Giants to get the ball to Shockey. I thought the whole time....they can't get the ball to Shockey because Urlacher is guarding him, why doesn't Madden see this?

So, I decided to go thru the game log to see what opposing TE's have done against the Bears LBs this season.

9 games, 16 catches, 175 yards. Folks, that's less than 2 catches and 20 yards per game out of the TE position. That stat alone is proof to me that Urlacher is one of the best LBs in the NFL. Combine taking away the TE, with Vasher taking away the #2 WR, Manning playing great in the nickel and taking away the slot WR, and the team speed taking the RB in the flat out of the equation....teams are playing the Bears with usually 1 option in the pass game.

Yea, they had the ball at the 42 if he had just downed it. If he had brought that out and been tackled at the 10 or something, I think he might have never been allowed back in Chicago. But he is amazing.

There was no way, he would have been tackled anywhere inside the 35. Only 2-3 Giants went down field and being that it was a FG attempt, they were all big linemen. No gunners on a FG team.

Really wasn't that much of a gamble.

and for all of his shortcomings, alot of which is caused by the cover 2 not fitting his skills, Peanut is one of the best tackling corners I have ever seen in my life, so the #1 isn't getting any yac.
