Home field advantage is on the line. The Bears are undefeated against the NFC, but the 1 loss now puts them in position to be leap frogged by the Giants in tie breakers following this game.

The cushion is gone. They need to win this game, or they are going to be in a dog fight the rest of the season.

I don't know if they can win this if they're missing Berrian AND Urlacher. I'm praying Brian is ok right now.

Just me, but if I've got a bruised rib I'm finding a way to take the field in the biggest game of the year when my team needs me. Again---that's just me, but I would hope Bernard feels the same way.

As for Urlacher, I'm not sure how a guy plays the very next play after the injury, and also walks off the field under his own power without any real difficulty if it's a serious injury.

I agree, if these two are out our chances go down dramatically. I'm just saying, from what I'm seeing, I would be disappointed if neither is going to take the field, for *THIS* game of all of them. This is as close to you can get to a playoff-calibre football game in week 10.

Did you see his postgame interview? The man could barely talk and was having a hard time breathing. Maybe that would change in a week, but judging by his interview after the game, I was fairly certain he was out.

I'm thinking about hopping on the anti-Ron Turner bandwagon....anyone care to join me?

The guy does not impress me at all. Most HS coaches could find a better

way to counter a blitz scheme.

I'm not ready to go that far. But I am more than willing to spread much of the blame his way. The offense is dangerous, but it's too relient on the big play. I don't understand why they are not willing to try and establish a dominant running game. When you are down by 10 in the third, you can still run the ball over and over.

I think it's possible to keep the offense dangerous, while at the same time playing some ball control style. Hopefully they finally realize they need to run Benson over and over to establish the running game. The difference between last year's offense and this year's is that they have a QB who gives you a chance to throw the ball. That does not mean they have to throw every chance they get.

*Giants fan*

Strahan is out for the game this Sunday, and Osi might sit as well. Injuries will KILL the Giants defense, assuming Madison, Osi, and Short all miss the game as well as Strahan. The bears will win for sure if this is the case.

If the Giants draw up any type blitz package, they have a very good chance of winning. Our OC does not know how to counter this.

According to both the Dan Patrick Show and Foxsports.com, Urlacher should play this weekend.

Yes this is very good news. Dodged a bullet.

Not so good news for the Giants. Strahan is out 2-4 weeks with foot sprain, (Lisfranc injury). Fred Miller dodged a bullet.

Run. The. Ball.

It's no surprise that the play action (Which was the bread and butter of our early passing success) isn't working. We have been unwilling to establish a consistent running game. At the first whiff of trouble running the ball, we abandon it almost entirely. It's not coincidence that the first scoring drive had a healthy mix of running and passing. It's also no surprise that it was the drive that Rex looked the best. Being down by 10 points is no excuse to abandon the run. Every game that Turner has put the game on Rex's shoulders, we have lost. He's not Peyton Manning, he doesn't have the experience to carry the entire team. That much is obvious to every casual observer and should be obvious to Turner at this point.

Put Benson in. Thomas Jones was only a slightly above average back before this season and it looks like he has regressed. His little jump stop isn't fooling anyone. When in the open field, don't do a jump stop to fake out no one, just keep running! It's really time to start working Benson into the game plan. He could really do no worse than what Jones is doing and would likely do better.

Is there any chance Bradley could play in this game if Berrian can't go? Gage is a waste of space and is the softest "big" receiver I have ever seen. This guy is a liability all over the field and he should be relegated to the pine.

My worry is Tiki. The Bears have had trouble stopping marquee running backs and Tiki is as good as it gets. Eli reminds me a lot of Grossman in that he is likely to throw a few up for grabs. If he doesn't have Burress available it could be a tough game for him.

My brother, a Giants fan, told me on Friday that his worst fear was that the Bears would lose to the Dolphins. He thinks they are going to come hungry for blood. We'll see, but because of the Giants' injury problems, I feel that the Bears have a good chance of winning this one.

Bensen should be getting 20-25 carries a game and Thomas Jones should get 5-10 and be in on all third and longs.

The problem with the offense is not necessarily Ron Turner. It is Rex Grossman sometimes getting lazy and throwing off his back foot and dropping his elbow to low which causes him to loft the ball. When Rex loses his mechanics he is not good. I can't beleive the coaches don't do more during the game to try to correct that, like maybe telling him about it. Ron Turner is part of the problem for passing to much but Grossman losing his mechanics is what is the main problem. You can tell in the first quarter if Rex is going to have a good game, simply by looking at his mechanics. When you see his mechanics are flawed we should be calling more run plays, thus putting less pressure on him.

He should be able to go. He's dressed before, but was inactive recently. I think that's more of a case of them thinking they didn't need him, as opposed to him not being healthy enough to play.

This should be a great opportunity to Bradley to get back on the path he was starting before the injury.

I think the problem is mostly Turner relying too heavily on Grossman throwing deep whenever possible, and abandoning the run. Grossman's mechanical flaws only seem to be exposed once the offense abandons the run and starts taking heat.

God, I hope so. Gage's fumble on the first play of the second half was an absolute killer. He almost caused an interception on the goaline by running the wrong route.

Bradley looked good before the injury. It's time for him to step up.

It's easy to see what happens when the other team see's that the Bears have abandoned the run. They either bring everyone or drop everyone back. Either way, Rex doesn't have the expierence to beat that right now. If the Bears can't keep the pass rush and secondary honest with the running game, their goose is cooked.

They have to get out to an early lead. Panic seems to set in ANY time they are down (Both with the players and the playcalling), which is a concerning trend, to say the least.

When Grossmans mechanics are bad teams know they don't have to pay as close attention to the short and intermediate routes because they know Grossman will not be accurate. This allows them to be more aware of the deep routes. When Grossmans mechanics are good and can connect on the quick slants and the short-in/out routes it opens up the deep ball/which is what he does best.

Grossman's mechanics breakdown when he is under pressure just like 95% of the QB's in the league. His mechanics in the first quarter were fine and he was very accurate on the first scoring drive.

It's not like he just goes into a game with bad mechanics. He starts to mess up when Turner has him dropping back and throwing deep every play.

I think Gage's fumble in the second half was absolutely catostrophic. If he doesn't fumble, the Bears start the second half with a big play right after finishing the first half with a big play. Instead, Gage fumbles and the Fins score a TD right after. Game over.
