You look like a troll to me and that's not welcome here. make your choice.

I'll let you get the last word while I go [permanently] check out other places on the board.

I know if my team were in the world series, I'd head over to my rival team's site to comment on the activity of the game thread.

Just so you know its a Cubs website. We hate our team and our pathetic history, but we relucatanly cheer for them. Therefore, we are very edgy when a Cardinals fan goes onto a forum supporting a team that has nothing to do with whats going on and eggs them on. Moderators will be active.

Verlander knocked out of the game, Buck commenting on how no one expected Cardinals to do anything.

verlander probably wasn't a great choice given his down the stretch and playoff performance. what's shocking is how well Reyes has pitched.

If someone would tell me that a team would win 83 games and somehow make the playoffs and advance to the world series off the bat of their light hitting catcher and then upset the heavily favored and more talented representative from the superior league, I would have put my life savings on that team being the Cardinals.

I'm not edgy at all. you came here to troll and I called you out. you still haven't made a comment on the game - so why are you here? basically to be a jerk.

Encarnacion hits a bouncing ball to 3rd, Inge bobbles it throws wild home, Edmonds scores.

Rolen makes a huge turn around 3rd and goes out of his way to run into Inge and is awarded home plate for obstruction.

Buck wonders how Rolen's shoulder is going to feel after that collision.

7-1 Cardinals

It has to do with him being a Cardinals pitcher. If he was on any other team, he would suck. But since he plays for the stupid mythical cardinals, he's all the sudden a superstar.

McCarver thought it was a great call. I donno, he sure did take a big turn

Inge kind of gave a wtf shrug after Rolen ran into him

Im not surprised about the score of this game. Reyes isnt a crappy pitcher. Detroits lack OBP might be getting the better of them. Detroit will have a s-load of pressure tomorrow night. If they dont wint they got carpenter in game 3. Tomorrow night is close to a must win for the Big D.

I missed the beginning of the game. Was Joe Buck wearing a hilarious tie? He was on Conan O'Brien last night and pledged to wear La Bamba's hilarious tie on Game 1 of the WS. Dumb question, I know, but if he went through with the promise I may dislike Joe Buck a little less.

... then again he was effusive in detailing how he was attempting to get Sting to sing the "Meet the Mets" song in Game 1 of NLCS ... thankfully it was rained out.

You would be unwise to do so.

Come on UM. You know it's the Cards. Put Neifi on the Cards and he would be suddenly great.

Not sure what kind of drugs LaRussa gives his team, but somehow the Cards just always have the magic pixie dust on their side.

I just think they'll lose. Cards have the luck now. Nothing will stop this turd of a team from being the most ridiculously underpowered World Series champion of all time.

They did sneak in with 83 wins, there is no debating that. But, it just looks like they got hot at the right time, offensively and defensively. There's still a long way to go in this series as well, so you never know. But, they look strong again. We shall see. Oh yeah, and Dusty looks sharp on the TV. Who's his tailor?

Y'know, this is purely subjective on my part, and probably not at all backed up in actual analysis or stats, but I always said that the Cardinals of recent years always had it too easy...they breezed through the regular season and then through the playoffs with few real challenges, so when they finally had to a face a team that typically had to fight its way in they fold like a house of cards. Now it's the flipside and the Cardinals are the "fighting team" against a team that didn't exactly "breeze" into the playoffs at the end, but definitely rolled through them with no problem. I've thought that exact thing, Mojo. There's just something... "Cardinal-like" about all those 100-win and 95-win teams failing in the postseason, and seeing this turd of a team win it all. I have no logical explanation, either, but I've just had this really bad feeling that they were going to do it ever since the rainouts in NLCS Game 1 helped them line up their rotation.
