  1. Looks like Albert Pujols's daughter. You're an awful human being. Enjoy that warm corner you have reserved in hell.
  2. ???? Espn just said that they will be back to the game when it resumes... Len just broke in on WCIU and said the game has been cancelled. It's official, so we lost. I don't understand why the storm is going to be through soon, unless Lou just said screw it. and Krod blows the save. It's a crappy game, but the Cubs will still take the series, comfortably. We should win the series but we should've won tonight. We should get a chance in the bottom half of the inning I think that is the dumbest slkfjaljd rule ever in baseball. The Astros didn't score in the 8th, so their extra AB didn't make a difference. And does anybody know any interesting facts about Fernando Tatis? Other than the fact that his best offensive years - IRONICALLY - came with the Cards in 98 and 99.
  3. He didn't do it, but he did get two more RBI. Has a player ever hit two grand slams in the same inning before? Fernando Tatis did it for the Cardinals back in 98 or 99.
  4. I think the gun's a little juiced... everyone's been throwing mid-high 90's it seems. Even Claybon Council hits the 90's on the Fox gun.
  5. I'm not sure you understand the rules. He's also applying for the commissioner's job.
  6. Who's left besides Marmol and Dempster. Cook Dempster Lidge Marmol Webb Also, Jason Marquis.
  7. Mark Mulder is toast. You forget which team he plays for... :Duncan's Pixie Dust: What teams did he play for the last 3 years? You're misunderstanding: he could have played for my kids little league team the last 3 years, but as soon as Duncan touches him and he puts on a Cardinals uniform, magic happens. See Kyle Lohse, Todd Wellemeyer, Braden Looper, and any other joke of a pitcher that's doing well for them. It's unreal. Now a guy with "real" talent like Mulder shows up? This has 11-1 1.92 comeback written all over it. Again, to understand this, you must suspend logic, because the the laws of reason and logic do not apply to the Cardinals.
  8. Awesome catch by the Indians RF to rob Quinten. Running grab in the gap.
  9. I don't get the constant demeaning of Sox fans. We sound like them, when they call us a bunch of dumb drunks. We need to stop worrying about the Sox, let alone what we think their fans are like. Some of my Sox friends are good people, nothing like what you describe. If you add the word "mullet" anywhere in that sentence, though, and you might have a Cards/Braves fan. Nah, we get drunk and start fights with the opposing teams bullpen. Much better. It's called a joke. Get a sense of humor. There are bad stereotypes about every group of fans and its fun to play around with them. Not every post is as serious as the 7th game of the World Series. Have fun with it. I've got a sense of humor. Just hard to tell when people use it on the web. Half the time, I think they just use the 'ol "it was a joke" line whenever they get called out, say something wrong/stupid, etc. Not that this particular poster did, but I just can't always tell. That's why people use the 'ol j/k

  11. I can't believe Todd Jones has held up this long, either. He seems like an injury at the buffet line waiting to happen.
  12. How bout it. What a steaming pile of crap they are.

Much better. Right, totally acceptable. We can act like trash from the stands, but just as long as we stay off the field. Makes sense to me. This arguement is silly anyway. Us judging Sox fans based on 2 walking diseased corpses is stupid, just as Sox fans judging us on the Dodger incident. I know some of it is a joke, but it's also carried over into "common knowledge" that Cub fans are like this and Sox fans are like that. It's just stupid and I'm sick of it. Sitting at Wrigley last year just got me tired of the whole thing, and reading stupid posts (especially in the game threads) and hearing my dumbass friends talk the same has me fed up. /rant. Onto things more serious... Mark Mulder looked decent tonight. Only one legit hit (the other was because Duncan plays defense about as well as Patterson), a decent looking strikeout, and a fastball hitting 91-92, vs. a 72 breaking ball. You just know he's going to be in the rotation soon and going Dempster on every one. :banghead:
  14. What? no: Just go ahead and copy and paste those for 90% of your game thread posts tonight.

  16. Anyone else really hate the camera angle behind home at new Busch? I feel like I'm watching the game from the space station.
  17. It really doesn't matter what the White Sox do. It really doesn't matter what the Cardinals do either, but people keep freaking out about it. They're going to finish in 3rd. They also weren't going to be any good this year. Stop doubting them. You'll always be wrong!

  19. All it takes is 3 months and you guys come to my side The hypocracy of Tar Hole fans is unreal. Tyler is good, but the public jacking-off he gets from anyone with a column seems unprecedented... well, since Christian Leatner  But seriously - did he actually take any of those charges tonight, or just get caught standing around watching, and get blown over by a better and more aggressive player? One charge is fine, but the 4 or so that he took? And that might be okay for (fill in scrappy little guy here), but doesn't a big man look like a [expletive] taking a charge? I always did, so I never took one. I settled for knocking him on his ass or blocking his shot. Either way, he didn't do it again. :good: Seriously? Laettner? Four Final Fours, three championship games, two national titles? If the media jacked him off, it's cause he deserved it. No, he was great don't get me wrong. But he was a part of a great team (far greater than UNC under Hansbrough), and don't know if he deserved such love as an individual. I've only been watching college hoops for 15 years, and Christian was the first person to come to mind. Who else would you think of? JJ Redick. Great regular season player, but always flamed out in the tournament. Sure, both JJ and Tyler won all the individual accolades you can win, but they never hung that banner. True enough... those Duke teams in 04 and 05 weren't great, but they were very good. JJ could have done better if he had a better backcourt mate than Daniel Ewing, or post man to draw defends to than Sheldon Williams. Sheldon's (future) wife would have served a better purpose than he did. :banghead:
  20. Yes, absolutely. Does that mean this NC will be decided by 30 points?

  23. "Robbed" is a bit much. Beasley is clearly the better player, but I think the thing that most set TH over Beasley is that he's a junior whereas MB is a freshman. Now you want to talk about "robbed" see NL MVP 2007. It really shouldn't matter especially considering Durant was a freshman last year and he got it. Beasley did get robbed. Word. Tyler was a part of a very good team, and while he was the best player, he couldn't make KState a decent team alone like Beastly did. Add Beastly to UNC and they might be 40-0!
  24. Didn't the Rocks just sweep the Dbacks a week or two ago? They're smokin hot right now, but I wouldn't count out the Dbacks, either. They'r jus warming up against us, apparently.
