btw Minnesota blocked a FG as time ran out to hold on and beat North Dakota St., 10-9. The gophers have really mailed it in after losing to Penn State.

Our loss to them doesn't look so bad now, eh?

You can celebrate your team winning without going over the top.

Maybe you should read a Bears thread before making such an assinine comment.

Or should I quote every "celebrate your team winning going over the top" comment I find from last Monday?

ETA: I was rooting for UCLA too, but this makes me upset...

You seriously don't see the difference between the two? It's not even close.

Oh boy are we going to get our asses kicked by Cal next week.

I see him being smug, I see it in Bears' threads also. Granted there's a lot of Bears fans, there's also a lot of non Bears fans.

Tell me what I"m missing.

I'm a UCLA alumnus and pro-Pac 10. Cal losing to Washington doesn't help the conference. Cal probably is my second favorite football team since they're a fellow UC school.

That ND-UCLA game was so great. Both teams played so well defensively, it was a shame one team had to lose. It seems like it is happening all over the country to the one loss teams that played anybody at all. Texas, ND, TN, and Cal have all been severely tested today (TN is still being tested). I haven't seen anything today to differentiate between the one loss teams today-they all have really struggled.

It's in the Bears game thread? Cubs/Bears/Bulls are going to be different (and Illini basketball). This wasn't the ND game thread, I'd have stayed out if it was. It was the college football thread.

How many Arizona fans were participating in that thread? And even then, the posts you're comparing to that aren't similar to this situation. In the game thread Bears fans were pissed at the situation, and then their miracle comeback was a shock to them. Completely the opposite here, no sense of humility or tact.

I think you might see Clemson or GT jump up into the better part of the top 10 if they can blowout each other

I honestly don't give the first crap about the game either way, and you are right. ndsitops was doing what a lot of others have done on this board, and he was accosted by a few who were either A)Oversensitive because their team lost in heartbreaking fashion or B)Oversensitive because they wanted to see their hatred of ND validated by the upset. True ndistops was being a bit smug, but not enough on its own to cause the reaction he got. Like you said, I would think some recent Bears threads were completely over the top if I weren't a Bears fan myself.

This isn't usually a problem because most here are Cubs/Bears fans. But if your fan affiliation conflicts with others and you get really upset about a game, you need to step away from the computer.

Washington State routing Oregon 27-3 after a pick six. Now we need Pitt to step it up and Bama to pull off a miracle.

Bama QB just got sacked, this is going to be tough

That's certainly possible-I see that as more likely for Clemson than GT (since I don't see GT probably jumping ND in the polls, and ND is at the back of the top 10). They are both good teams that have been underappreciated though.

it's going to be a good game for sure. I can't wait to see CJ in primetime

The way I see it, the Cubs are the only thing off limits as far as smugness by oppoents. Isn't that the rules? Let people be as smug as they want to be over wins...if you don't want to read it goto a fan forum for that team where you'll see similar treatment to what the Cubs get here.

So if there was a UCLA/ND game thread you would have stayed out of it? I don't buy it.

Or the ND/MSU thread. Talk about obnoxious.

Down the stretch of this game - if it was mostly populated by ND fans - yes.

regardless, nd is overrated and will hopefully get spanked by usc

Who unfortunately for most of this board is just as overrated.

guess oregon decided to take the week off

That is the sentiment I don't understand? Who behind them has been definitely better than ND? All of those teams have had at least one scare and most of them 2 scares like ND has had along with a loss, just like ND. What teams would you put above them?
