Two Ball State freshmen players were arrested and are still in jail on charges of stealing laptops. One, Eulas Taylor, had played some DB for us this year, and the other, Brandon Houston, hasn't played any meaningful time. Both are suspended indefinitely but I suspect they will end up off the team.

Speaking of Ball St, a friend of mine who goes to NIU came across this article last night:

I thought the NCAA got rid of the 15K attendance policy, but I guess that's not the case. Not only does Ball St. seem to be in trouble, but about half of the conference (I think something like 3/4's of the conference this year) can't draw 15K to a game. The only teams that can easily outdraw 15K a game are NIU and Toledo. Central Michigan, the best team in the MAC West, only had 11K at their game against Bowling Green a few nights ago. The whole conference is basically screwed if the NCAA enforces this policy.

1 hour 52 minutes until kickoff.

Huge game for Mizzou, can't be hungover from last weekend's loss, we gotta come out and knock em on their asses. People are calling KSU one of the Big 12 sleepers this year, I honestly don't see it. Mizzou win's by 3 TDs.

If you are an Iowa fan why not be optimistic. A loss is expected so you really have nothing to lose. Michigan may be coming in not ready and Iowa is still good enough to beat them if they arent prepared. Also last week Michigan really dominated Penn St and PSU still got the ball with almost 2 mins left with a chance to tie the game.

True but the injuries are what keep that optimism in check. We've protected Tate well all year, but we could be starting a guy at RT today who really has no experience. Missing two starters from each line is bad news with the way UM has been up front this year.

It doesn't help when our only WR who can catch the ball and is an actual threat (true freshman from Detroit, not recruited by UM) might be out also.

The good news is that our defensive leader (FS Marcus Paschal) should finally be back and he sets the tone for our defense. Thankfully we won't be facing the spread and a mobile quarterback again.

And that is a load of crap because we have had really crappy weather at 2 of the BSU home games which diminished attendane. And what's Eastern Michigan supposed to do about the fact that Michigan Stadium is EIGHT MILES UP THE SAME ROAD? That attendance policy is absolute BS.

Yeah I agree about the attendance policy. I could have SWORN that the NCAA got rid of the attendance policy around two years ago for I-A teams. I really don't understand how the NCAA can enforce this rule because of all the MAC teams that are averaging under 15K a game.

I could be off here, but I know they imply this rule for 1-AA teams trying to become 1-A. I read a lot about it where Texas State is trying to become 1-A. Haven't read too much into it for existing 1-A teams. I am guessing once they are up, and already signed into a conference then the NCAA dones't really care too much. If they were an Independant then I think the NCAA would start to force this more.

What is going on in Evanston? MSU was down 38-3 halfway through the 3rd quarter and looked like they had completely thrown in the towel. With 8 minutes to go they're down 38-31. Yikes.

Penn State is the worst 5-3 team in football.

Illinois tried an onsides kick after a safety....I thought you HAD to kick it away?

I did too. Oh well I at least think we are going in the right direction. Plus Zook gets a good recruit each week, hopefully he stays away from Weber.

wowwwwwww.... Nebraska passed for a first down with 2:20 left and Texas had no time outs... essentially the game would've been over. But a Texas player made a nice hit as the receiver was turning upfield and forced a fumble, so Texas has the ball inside Nebraska territory.

He's the right guy for that program. From what I saw at Florida, he's a great recruiter but a fairly lousy game coach. At a school like Florida, that won't fly. But Illinois' major deficiency was talent, and Zook is making big strides in addressing that problem.

Think he could recruit basketball players?

No, I'm not kneejerking, but after this season, it's time for Northwestern to look for a new coach.

Yes, Nick Roach was knocked out of the game. Yes, our longsnapper sucks. But just a complete coaching meltdown on the part of Fitz and his staff. Awful.
