Eli Holman took the floor last night for his high school for the first time in a long time (the IU recruit who was shot a couple weeks ago)-he had 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 blocked shots in his first game back.

Agreed; beating Iowa on the road coming off the Wisconsin win would be huge. If that happens I'd expect them to make a huge jump in the rankings next week, likely into the top 15. They already have a big non-conference road win (UConn).

I'm not all that excited about that UConn win, especially after the way they played at Louisville. To me, there is still a lot for this IU team to prove. Home wins are great, but to really be considered in that top group they've got to get some quality wins on the road. I'm not taking for granted the Illinois game at home, either. Time will tell, but at least we still care this late in the season.

Mizzou vs. Nebraska today at 1230 at the Arena. I don't foresee a problem but that's usually when I'm disappointed most, so we'll see what happens.

I don't know about top 15, but a win today should put IU in the 15-20 range. That said, I am not confident at all about the game today. IU tends to have a lot more shooting funks away from Bloomington. I also think it is harder to beat an average team like Iowa on the road than it is to beat a great team like Wisconsin at home in the Big Ten. This would be another quality win, if IU can pull it off.

At this point I am not sure that UConn should be considered a huge win anymore. They have been terrible the last month and most likely will not make it to the tournament.

Yeah, they have fallen apart. It's like when the Bears beat the Giants. It seemed like a great win at the time, and then 5 weeks later it didn't look nearly as good.

This is going to be an especially long game if the refs won't call 3 seconds. NU won't be able to do anything defensively with Stiemsma just standing 4 feet from the basket.

Whistles on every possession is really bogging down the Indiana-Iowa game on both sides. It's 37-37 at halftime.

 

Silly watch: Iowa crowd starts chanting Airball, Airball after the IU player is short on his attempt from 3/4 court as time expires in the half :D
