Mateo > Clemens

O'Malley > Pettite

Being better than Roger is an accomplishment, Andy? Not so much.

True. But didn't he shut out the Cubs twice this year? Once a MMP and once at Wrigley, I think.

Although I'm not positive on that.

The only time the Cubs had been shut-out by the Stros was June 7, and the Astros started a rookie by the name of Chris Sampson. Pettite has NOT shut out the Cubs this yr.

I haven't been watching, but it doesn't look like Andy pitched a bad game.

Complete game for Pettitte, 1 ER. It must really suck to be a starting pitcher for the Astros.

Hey, this rookie pitcher thing is starting to work! Is there anyone else we can bring up?

Way to go Cubs! We may still suck, but it's always nice to sweep a rival fighting for a Wild Card berth!

That's one way to make your debut: Waking up in Round Rock and going to bed a Major League winner. Nice going Ryan :)

Len Kasper said they are going to interview O'Malley and warned for the potential of a shaving cream pie attack. Hopefully, there will be WGN staffers on the field ready to intercept any threats.

Wow. O'Malley's parents were at the game. They got down to Houston fast.

Someone tipped him off yesterday that he was going to start for the Cubs today.

He's from Illinois, lifelong Cubs fan.
