Thierot seems to have a good approach at the plate.

Patient and waits for his pitch. Clearly not Chicago Cubs material.

Yep. His minor league numbers show that his OBP isn't closely tied to his batting average, and in some years he has walked more than he has struck out.

This is one situation where both that attempt of a double steal and a walk have actually not been all that great for the team because it took the bat out of Ramirez hands..let's hope Jones can do something.

Brewers announcers said the same thing.

Nevin is such a freakin bum.

All he cares about is trying to hit a HR.

Murton should move to 1st until D. Lee gets back and put Pagan in LF every

day.

scew Nevin, another dumpster dive move by Hendry

Pathetic....

that our 4 and 5 hitters can't even make contact with the baseball

that our multiple Cy-Young-winner-in-waiting is either a injured and/or mental wasteland right now.

My only joy as a Cubs fan right now is seeing our young pitchers develop. The rest is a big pile of steaming dung...

You can't refer to the walk as having taken the bat out of his hand. What about if a guy singles, steals 2nd and 3rd, and still doesn't score. Just because he didn't score doesn't mean it was bad to single, steal, steal. You take a walk if the pitcher is giving it to you because otherwise you're just swinging at bad balls.

Maybe Murton should be playing for Jones today.

Or Pagan.

Oh well a nosedive probably gets rid of Dusty.

That's isolationist and defeatist. If you are satisfied with a nosedive, then you're clearly not a true Cubs fan.

Fro watching the game today, the only offspeed pitch Prior can get anywhere close to a strike is his 84-86 mph changeup.

Not going to win any games with just that and a 91-92 mph fastball.

I like to think about how the best two years of talent we have had in my lifetime was blown, by the most incompetent twit you can find for a manager.
