Great swing on that last pitch, Neifi.

He'll be back next year at 2.5 million. Just let that soak in for a while.

I personally think the Cubs should option Prior to AAA and let him work out his kinks and get his confidence back. Then again, the Cubs aren't really playing for anything...

As Brenly noted, you'd like to see some competitive fire or emotion from him. He had that quite a bit early in his career. He looks indifferent out there. Who knows, like I can tell that from my couch, but it looks that way.

We all remember his 'challenge' of Barry Bonds in 2003 as his ultimate awesome moment. Its amazing how far he has fallen since then

Perez struck out swinging

I thought that was his one endearing quality -- that he never strikes out?

His other endearing quality is that he is built like a sausage. Look for him in the 6th inning.

i don't know about getting out of there without any damage...he had 2 walks and a HBP

Yeah, he should have given up 2 runs that inning.

How? Walk, flyout, Walk, flyout, flyout. The inning should have been over wildness or not.

That is the exact moment the came to mind for me as well. He doesn't have to do that every night, challenge a guy to a fight.

But I remember several occasions of him showing some emotion, fist-pumping, etc, in big moments. Looks like he is sleepwalking out there lately.

Facts don't matter, soccer10k has it out for Prior.

I don't know if the ball hit to Pagan was routine, but the first one definitely should have been an out.

Hopefully our outfielders took notes on that routine flyball and how the Brewers decided to help their pitcher out by catching it.

Hey, hey, hey. Don't insult Jacque like that. He can catch the ball. He just can't throw it with any sort of accuracy or power.

He was back to the wall and then just missed it, Murton would have had it.

The Brewers announcers were wondering how Pagan didn't catch it.

Of course, they also think Barrett is a great defensive catcher, so take that for what it's worth.

But Pagan definitely should have caught it. He was there.

I don't know. I like Murton, but he hasn't exactly played a gold glove caliber LF either.

No, but he does go back for a ball well. Add that to the fact he is a much better hitter, especially against lefties and you see why it is we pay Dusty the big bucks.
