The last start not withstanding, I believe Prior should be shut down and sent home, let Guzman take his spot.

Unless he's hurt, shutting him down isn't going to help.

I'm assuming he's healthy, but it sure doesn't look like it. You have to think that if there was anything wrong with him he wouldn't be out there.

Now he hits Graffanino, geeze.

*cough*

Kerry Wood

*cough*

Big difference is Wood was actually hurt and had surgery. What's Prior deal?

I forgot to add I believe somethings wrong...

face it...prior has lost it all...its either a floater over the plate or at their face

Face it he should have been out of that inning without any damage, but these clowns who can catch the ball again can't.

I personally think the Cubs should option Prior to AAA and let him work out his kinks and get his confidence back. Then again, the Cubs aren't really playing for anything...

Don't count out the WC...

It is very difficult to be angry with the Cubs when they have helped me so much financially this year. Today I took the Brewers and the over. Looks pretty good right now, huh? I'm thinking of selling my practice and betting against the Cubs as a career.

Why is Pagan out there when Murton absolutely kills LHP?

Not sure, Pagan is only 6-23 against LHP.

It's Pagan's turn, Dusty said he'd start today at the beginning of the series.

A better team would have contained the damage.

Actually, let me rephrase that. Why on earth is Jones out there against LHP (yes, I just heard he was 3/5 against Davis) instead of an OF of Murton, Pierre, and Pagan?

Well since the first bloop hit was a routine flyball and the Pagan overran a ball that was also routine. That would have been two outs with two walks for menchs flyout.

i don't know about getting out of there without any damage...he had 2 walks and a HBP

the hbp would have been in the second inning on most competent little league teams.

As Brenly noted, you'd like to see some competitive fire or emotion from him. He had that quite a bit early in his career. He looks indifferent out there. Who knows, like I can tell that from my couch, but it looks that way.
