I just decided to look at Gameday...do they make salad forks big enough to stick in Prior's back?

Honestly, he's done. I can't even believe it's the same pitcher.

Hey Fred, your mission if you decide to accept:

For each of Aram's home runs this year, is there any way to find out what the game score and inning was and also the Cub's record entering that game?

I'm curious as to how many of his HRs came during meaningful times of a game and during a time the Cubs weren't tanking (realizing they were in the race only a few weeks).

I think that most of Aram's HR's are meaningful, after all he is playing for a new contract. heck...it we do re-sign him and give him another out clause..maybe he will hit 50 HR's.

The point behind that being what? Is he going to become our version of ARod, where people rip him for not having enough "clutchiness"?

Some think the Cubs are still in the race.

Did anybody on this team do anything of value when the team was in the race? Walker, Lee, Murton and Cedeno hit well, Maddux and Dempster pitched well. The team has been out of it for most of the season.

With the young guys pitching well there is no point for Rusch to even be

on this team.

But he has a 2+ million contract..Only a moron like Hendry would give him that $$$. The worst GM in baseball folks.

Thanks, I've been saying that for a while now. Hendry and co are terrible.

I'm working on this now. I'll post it when I'm done.

wow..Theirot works another count and gets on base...he will be back in Iowa

if he keeps this up.

didn't he get the memo.

We might have something in Theriot but we will never know as long as Baker is the manager of this team. He doesn't like to play those annoying rookies.

I forgot this game was a day game. Luckily, I haven't missed anything. What was Prior's problem(s) today?

Absolutely no control caused most of his problems, and the pretty bad defense behind him extended innings that exacerbated the problems. His main problem was that he couldn't get the fastball over the plate but it was drifting up and in consistently.

Jim Hendry Dumpster Diving since 2003.

His lack of control has concerned me the most. Even in his one start where he was somewhat good, against the Mets, his control was not there as he issued several walks. The Mark Prior of old usually had pretty good control.

I hate seeing Prior struggle like this. I almost want to see him shut down for the year because it has to be just as embarassing for him as it is for the fans and the team.

Will you put Maddux, DLEE, ARAM, and Nomar in there? All guys we got after 2003 started.

That wasn't it come on, let's be serious for a moment. Prior's problems are more than just control. His fastball and curve are not the same pitches that he used to throw. His curve doesn't have that snap on it and his fastball isn't consistent in the 92-94 range that it used to be. He's done for.

I'm thinking more along the lines of:

Perez

Rusch

Ryan Dumpster

Burnitz

Bad Ohman

Roberta Rovoa

Todd Walker

and the beat goes on...some GM's get talent..others go Dumpster Diving.
