Renyel (stats) is replacing Jason Vargas and will be in the pen. Ricky Nolasco (stats) will replace the injured Sergio Mitre in the rotation - his first start will be on Wednesday.

I bet those bums won't steal a single base.

I bet Sergio, Ricky, and Rynel were real fired up to go to FLA. They knew they'd get a shot at the bigs a lot sooner than with the Cubs.

Heck, Willis would probably be in AAA this year if he was still in the org.

Yeah the 3 rookies in the rotation for the cubs , along with cedeno and murton. No wonder those 3 could not wait to get to Florida . Coach L

touche

with the way things are going, the cubs need to be 12 starters deep tho. :(

Worst. Trade. Ever.

the trade doesn't look good, but lets wait til one of these guys becomes a solid starter.

going to take a lot to eclipse the dwillis trade btw.

There's just no way Koronka's numbers remain that good. That guy's stuff was astounding in its mediocrity.

Yeah I am as depressed as anyone by this thread, but I can't see Koranka keeping this up.

He added a cut fastball in the offseason.

I don't know if he'll be a good starter for the rest of the season or not, but surely he was worth more than FAST FREDDY BYNUM.

Has Hendry gotten any value for a prospect in the past 2 years? Surely he has - somebody help me.

And heck, while we're at it, Juan Cruz for Andy Pratt? Cruz probably isn't going to keep up his 3.33 ERA, but right now he ranks behind only Maddux and Zambrano in VORP.

Nomar and Murton for essentially Harris, Beltran, and Jones was great value.

Grieve for Pratt.

I really meant since the 2004 season, but getting Murton and Nomar was nice.

Grieve got 36 at bats as a Cub. As much as I liked him, that's not good value for Cruz, who at one point was ranked ahead of Prior on prospect lists. Grieve for Pratt, of course, was a steal. A loaf of bread and a plastic cup would have been a steal for Pratt, though.

Don't you have to give up something good for it to be the worse trade ever?????????????
