Today's game. it looks as though Rich Hill isn't concitrating(can't spell) on his pitches, he seems to through when he misses on a pitch in a certain spot he will miss once or twice more in the same spot or doesn't follow through on his curve whick causes it to end up high or wide to a right handed hitter.[/b]

I might have made a error, the whole team is not concetrating, really playing bad, I just watched two wild pitches score 2 runs.

Not concentrating is losing a few games in a row. But to lose 13 of 15, and is wildly considered playing worse baseball then KC/Pitt/Florida, your beyond lack of concentrating, this team don't give a darn thing.

I thought Rich did very well today. No sin in walking Giles twice. Rich missed his location on a couple of fastballs, but he did throw THREE pitches today and often spotted his fastball well.

He's getting closer to becoming legitimate starter material. I could see him being the swing man for the 2007 Cubs.

I thought he pitched ok, but Hill walked Giles three times, and two of those walks were leadoff walks. In all honesty Hill should not be walking lefthanders with his pitches.

Pull the plug and be done with it. Move on.

pull the plug on hill? who do you suggest to take his spot? he's certainly outpitched guzman. and for all the fawning people do over marshall, it ain't like he's setting the world on fire either.

hill is the least of the cubs' problems right now.

I think he meant pull the plug on the team. i.e. Firesale and play the young guys.

I'm obviously no expert, but I just don't see how Cub management deemed Hill as "untouchable."

Definitely a mystery to me, too.

I weep daily that Hendry wouldn't trade Hill for Dunn. Daily, I tell you.

i like the kid and I think he can be a solid middle of the rotation starter...but I don't see how he's an "untouchable" as well. What other organization would have a pitcher who's career potential will be a middle of the rotation starter as an untouchable? His curve is pretty good, but his fastball only hovers around 90 and I really haven't seen much use of his other pitches. I just don't understand how Hill is an "untouchable."

The only thing Rusch concentrates on is finding the nearest all you can eat buffet.
