And G Tyler Reed from Penn State.

I wonder what it would have been like to have a real TE.

And that raps up a terrible draft for the Bears.

Is the draft still going on? Did Brad Smith (or any other MU guys) get drafted?

There's about 30 picks left, they're in the 7th round.

Smith was taken by the Jets in the 4th round, he's the only Mizzou player drafted thus far.

The Dolphins' 7th round has me in awe. With the #212, they got a small school project DT named Fred Evans. With the #226, they stole Rodrique Wright from Texas, a very good DT or possible DE a lot of people had going in the 2nd round before the draft. And a projected 3rd round WR, Devin Aromashodu from Auburn (thanks for that pick, Chicago) gives them size and speed (6-2, 202, 4.35). For a draft with no 2nd, 5th, or 6th, I'm pretty happy with out the Dolphins made out. A high-ceiling OL prospect, two WRs (a possession type and a speed type, both with size), a great safety who can also play corner, and two athletic DTs with DE potential. Nice.

What the heck did Wright do to fall like a rock? Warp, is Roth supposed to be starting at DE opposite JT this year? He was fun to watch at Iowa.

Panthers board I'm on really likes their fifth-rounder of Jeff King (a tight end who played basketball at VT) and their seventh-rounder of Stanley McClover of Auburn.

Carolina selected three Hokies this year. I guess John Fox is a Beamerball fan.

The Dolphins' line is talented, but ancient. Outside of Taylor, they have Vonnie Holiday, Kevin Carter, and Keith Traylor. Roth had one outstanding game and was in the rotation by season's end. I expect him to get deeper, with a chance at winning one end job if he has an exceptional camp. With the Dolphins going to more 3-4, his size could work against him. I like the kid, and think he can be a major asset and help take some of the pass rush pressure off of JT.

As for why Wright fell, I have no idea, but I'm glad he did.

This is nothing new, nothing surprising. I've always had a certain disdain for the Bears D since Angelo came here. Don't get me wrong, I like and realize the importance of a good D, but I personally feel it should be mathematically impossible for this team to give up more than 17 points. After the playoff game this past year and this draft, if we lose even one game because of D, even in the preseason, Angelo should be fired by the 2 minute warning of the second half of that game, and I am not being sarcastic at all.

I haven't read this thread, so apologies if it was addressed already.

Does anyone else think that ESPN's coverage/production of the draft absolutely sucked? Fewer "war room" interviews than in recent years, telephone interviews with delays so painful that interviewees just started spouting off answers, and poor on air chemistry (in large part to Boomer) lead to a very unappealing draft to me.

I'm liking the Cowboys pick of Skyler Green out of LSU. He could be an explosive special teams player.

Let me get this straight... you, a Cowboys fan from Louisiana, like the fact that the Cowboys picked someone from LSU? Incredible.

Yeah, Berman sucks. He needs to get back, back, back, back, back, back, back, back on a diet.

New York huh? Wow, that will be a culture change for him. I'm really happy to see that he got selected though. He's apparently a super nice guy and is very into his faith with God. Good to see nice guys like that finding success.

I thought Jason Simpson might have been taken, but I guess that drug bust was hanging over his head. If that didn't happen, he probably would have been selected.

Since the original post, the Rams took Tony Palmer with a compensatory pick at the end of the 7th round.

I met him a few times and he's really cool, talked to me like a regular guy, not a star.

I was watching on the NFL Network, so I can't really say for certain, but the bit I did see on ESPN didn't look so hot.

Isnt Dusty the sooner who passed out after pumping up the team in a pregame huddle? that was sweet.

Why did the lions draft Calhoun. Millen is a turd.

That was Dan Cody, now a Baltimore Raven.

Dusty is the guy that bashed his friends face in with a baseball bat and got kicked off the team for a year.

From the draft guide I have, sounds like he was good at getting penetration in the middle. I believe he had some 18 tackles for a loss, which is pretty good, especially in a down year for the OU D.

That's not as questionable of a pick as the preceding two picks.

Who's that? Brad? Yeah, I've never heard a negative word about him. One of my roommates was on the football team and he would always talk about how great of a guy he is and how everyone likes him. He's never drank a sip of alcohol in his life and he did a LOT of charity stuff in Columbia over the past several years. He truly seems like one of the nicest guys around.

Actually, I've met Dusty, he's really nice and really, really smart. He also has (had) a problem with alcohol. He really busted his ass (he tore his bicep in the spring game last year) to come back and not only get reinstated, but to play well. He's a really hard worked and it should be cool to see him and Tommie in the middle again, seeing as how they came into OU as freshman together.
